1. What’s your favorite outfit? (Either something you own or don’t)
For this one I'll go with something I own!
I love this shirt a lot! I like wearing it with this cube necklace, and some shorts or capris.
It's just one of my favorite shirts, mostly, but I tend to wear it with this dumb ole necklace (aka my favorite necklace actually).
2. Who’s your favorite video game character?
Kazooie was my favorite video game character when I was younger and I would watch my brother play the two Banjo Kazooie games on the N64!
But I just really enjoy all the animal villagers from Animal Crossing, as well as Tom Nook. I think they're my favorites of all. :D
3. What concerts have you been to?
Nothing that represents my current music tastes. When I was younger, we could afford to go with our family friends to a Blue Man Group concert. THAT was super cool.
Then later with those same people, around Christmastime, we went to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. That was really neat too :)
That's literally it, though. Someday, I think I shall go to a concert of music I really do enjoy and am into now, though.
4. What concerts do you want to go to?
Hm, good question! I would love to go to a Two Door Cinema Club concert, for one. One of the bigger concerts I would probably go to. I think it would be much cooler to go to a really tiny gig for a lesser-known artist though.
5. What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently?
I don't think this is THE funniest, but I work as a camp counselor at a day camp, and kids can be funny. At one point after we came back from the pool and they were in line for snack, this kid looked around and said, "marijuana," and all his friends gasped and cracked up and I was the only counselor who heard but I didn't even reprimand them because I was trying REALLY hard just not to laugh!
6. What do you lose most often?
My composure, if that's not cheating to say. I laugh at things and just LOSE it, really often, especially around Josiah!
However, as far as physical things go, I tend to lose my chapstick the most, as well as hair bands. There are 6 cats (4 of them kittens) in my house, they always get to them. Sigh.
7. Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?
My middle school band teacher fell "in love at first sight" with her husband, who's actually the jazz musician Mike Vax, and they've been together foreverrrr.
I feel like you can feel a pull toward someone, and if you do turn out loving them, it's like, an evolution of the love you felt before when you "first saw them," ya know? Love is a pretty malleable thing, especially in defining it, so to say that there is no such thing is just a matter of perspective.
8. Why did you sign up for Tumblr? (And why do you stay on it?)
I honestly can't remember the exact reason, or where I heard of tumblr from. It may have been from Ariana? Anyway, I wanted someplace where I could write about personal things and not feel too judged about it. I also wanted to find cool, inspiring things to fuel any creative impulses I could have!
However, it's also obviously a time-consumer. But, it's a great way to meet new people (like Davis!). I stay on it because I enjoy finding out about new, interesting things from it, and I enjoy some of the community, although I haven't branched out much and followed more people in QUITE a while.
9. What’s your opinion on summer camp?
LOL I work at one! In addition, it's the same one I was a camper at for a couple summers as a child, and was a CIT for the past two years at. Well, it's a day camp, and sleepaway camps & day camps are two different animals.
I for one was never "shipped away against my will" to some random summer camp as a child, where you'd have to stay in cabins the whole summer, etc., all that cliche stuff.
However, that idea did always sound fun when I was little, so I'm disappointed I could never go to Camp Concord.
The day camp is a good experience for the kids though. they get to learn new things, spend time around in nature, exercising, and having fun. Sometimes, an outdoor camp isn't right for certain kids. Which is OK!
I still think it's a fine way to spend a summer, though, if only just one. It keeps you entertained and stimulated! :)
10. What are the best and worst parts of school for you?
Best:
-Spending time with friends
-Enriching, interesting teachers
-Lunch
-Band
Worst:
-Workload
-Procrastination
-How hard it can be to find free time
-Jerks who might ruin a class for you/people who don't care at all
11. What’s the most inspiring thing (or simply an inspiring thing) that’s happened to you?
Uh, this was just recently, last Monday. Kinda inspiring to me!
It was the first day of camp/work starting, and we went to the pool that afternoon when I had my shift!
This girl, who was a camper two summers ago, had come back. She had thrown tantrums a lot before, and was pretty ridiculous but had her cool moments.
At the pool, she threw a tantrum because she didn't pass the swim test. At a certain point, we have to get sunscreen on all the kids. She refused to put it on and was still sulking on her towel and everything.
Eventually, by talking to her, I managed to get her to put it on, even though it was pretty funny hear her complain that "sunscreen doesn't even DO anything, what's the point?" and then she would put some on herself and say "SEE? it's not DOING anything!!"
Anyway, after we got back from the pool, it seemed she had appreciated that I listened to her troubles at the pool and dealing with her, cause then for the rest of the day during free time she told me some funny story about Sonic the Hedgehog turning into a cat, it was just great.
I just realized after that that I wanted her to have her creativity foster and I didn't want her to be discouraged, so I listened to her and she grew a liking for me. I just felt pretty inspired to be a better listener, mentor etc. as a counselor. x)
Not sure if this is bad or not, but I'm too lazy to tag other people or come up with other questions so.... I'm kind of a dead end. But this one fun, THANK YOU JENNA! :D
