Chapter 2 is up!
The guard made good on his word and took her straight to Understone Keep. However, upon reaching the door, he was immediately reprimanded for leaving the city gate unmanned and sent back to his post, leaving Feowyn to enter alone. This was unfortunate, as she had not the strength nor wherewithal to find her way up the stairs, and lacked the sense to know she should not attempt such a feat. Upon entering the Keep, her senses were overcome with noise and dizzyingly complex architecture. Persistent as she was, she made her way directly for a staircase. Halfway up, she could no longer hear over the ringing in her ears. A few steps farther and her vision began to fade, and just before the final steps, she felt the floor hit the burnt skin of her face and blacked out immediately.
