I had a bad day yesterday so I made a peanut butter cup bigger than my face.
INSIDE: peanut butter, some flour, sugar - about a quarter cup of filling in total OUTSIDE: about 2/3 of a bag of Ghirardelli semisweet chocolate chips.
1. Spread dough on foil to about quarter inch thickness. 2. Melt half chocolate in double boiler or microwave. (If double boiler, careful not to let water get in it.) Pour over dough. 3. Freeze for a half hour. Flip onto another piece of foil. 4. Repeat step 2 for rest of chocolate. 5. Freeze again. Store in freezer or fridge and break off pieces as your shitty mood requires. 6. Glory.
These instructions ignore any attempt at tempering chocolate or Doing Things Properly. Our goal is maximum delicious, minimum prep. Also, it's nearly impossible to share this thing because you can't transport it -- it's goo at room temp. That means ITS ALL YOURS BABY. YOU EAT IT BECAUSE YOU MUST.
Happy self-medicating.
