you don't know me | hayley and eleanora
Hayley had never been more nervous in her life. And for good reason, though she didn't really think so. She was Dauntless, she should be better at compartmentalising her emotions, but her anxiety was slipping through the cracks. Her heart raced in her chest as she made her way into Erudite, feeling the stares of the blue-clad faction members on her back as she walked through their unnaturally clean halls. It made her very uncomfortable being here, and she was sure her presence didn't do much to soothe the people who did live here. But she had to take care of this, and she figured the sooner she did it the better.
She'd heard from Stiles that Eleanora spent a lot of her free time in one of the libraries, and that was exactly where Hayley was headed. She didn't really know what she was going to say to the girl when she saw her. Hayley glanced down at the wallet-sized photograph she had of the girl gripped in her hand, noting the similarities in their appearances again and trying not to get her hopes up. She might have this completely wrong, and then Hayley would be back at square one.
Hayley tried to enter the library as quietly as she could, but she still saw people lift their eyes at her entrance. "God, why are you people so nosey?" she muttered under her breath as she looked around, trying to spot the girl. Her eyes landed on her sooner than she expected, a jolt of anxiety going through her at the sight of the brunette hunched over a thick book. It looked boring, but she guessed these nerds were into that kind of thing. Hayley took a deep breath, gathering all her courage, and then she walked over. "Hi," she said awkwardly, just loud enough for her to hear. "I was wondering if I could talk to you?"
