Eyes peering to the side, he took note of her comment. Be it passing or genuine, he wouldn't stand for her to think that way — nor feel that way. Kotoha was Kotoha. Important. Needed. Wanted. She always had an open invitation. Tonight, tomorrow night, and all nights after. Even if Hajime was leading the local 'boys club,' she'd never be excluded.

Above all was family, and she was more family to him than anyone.

“ Then don't be. ” He replied with ease as if it should have been obvious. He'd want her by his side. He canted his head to the side then and craned his gaze over her. “ Be with me instead. ” He pulled out his phone then and waved her off. “ Go get changed. We'll go see the fireworks, and I'll let everyone else know we'll catch up later. ”

The panic sets in after everything unfolds and he isn't sure why he hasn't recovered when everything's settled. He breathes in gasps with giant heaves and can't quite learn how to regulate them even with her guidance. Forced to defend this little cafe with only himself had brought about more panic than he thought and ultimately, even if his classmates had showed up in time to prevent a majority of the damage he couldn't help the what ifs from plaguing his mind. Pain wasn't something he was particularly new to, but despite how many times he's tasted iron, he wasn't any more eager to return to it. Pain aversion felt like it rain through his veins and he was ashamed of how it controlled him even in times of need.

It was Kotoha's cafe that was nearly attacked and she was the one comforting him. Nirei understood his place, it was lower than where his classmates stood but he refused to be useless—he just didn't realize how helpless that would make him feel overall. Trying to fool himself into thinking he was worth the effort was silly when every problem they've ever run into has been solved with fists, not ramblings and useless details. He had to stop kidding himself, he had no place defending her or Portos when he could barely defend himself.

"I'm sorry," he says shakily.

To woo Togame, Sakura just needs to be Sakura. Togame likes Sakura as he is; in his truest form. That's the appeal of Sakura in his eyes. As for Ume, good luck. Umemiya sees Sakura as another family member, a little brother protege so-to-speak.

A while back I posted about how Nirei would be an excellent partner for Hinata Tachibana ( Tok Rev ) and I stand by that. He'd woo her by simply showing off how he wants to stand by his friends.

Poor Kotoha doesn't get any advice :) She gets to Figure it Out.

I think Kanuma would have luck with Togame, if that was something he wanted to pursue. I think Togame would want to make up for how things went down in their group, which facilitates a lot. But Kanuma's best bet would be helping the group find their grounding. I think people picking up more responsibility ( and taking it off Choji's plate ) would go a long way with Togame.

Choji... food. Togame already admires his leader a great deal. It wouldn't take much for his affections to grow deeper. As for Ume, he kind of sees Choji as a feral gremlin. I think they'd need to have a lot of heart-to-heart discussions before Ume could consider any of the atmosphere between them as romantic.

Tsubakino,,, just keep doing your thing. For real. It's Working.

Togame's going to invite Sakura out to a lot of dates and opt to simply not call them that. Ume... will offer him veggies.

For Nirei, Ume offers the same strategy. Have some carrots; sitdown and enjoy the rooftop. Togame doesn't have much to offer. Meanwhile, Hina will be helping him do chores and help bandage him up.

Kotoha... Ume is committed to her. His commitment, even if it's not quite aimed towards being with her, runs deep. Regardless of what their relationship is in his mind, she's his priority. He will be her pillar of support through the loneliest nights and even on her good days. She'll never be without him. And he's also completely comfortable being shirtless around her... As for Togame? He has no intention of making an enemy of Ume haha.

For Kanuma, Togame's going to constantly invite him for one-on-one time together. They will never be without snacks.

Ume, if he ever decides he wants to seduce Choji, is not above shamelessly flirting with him. Usually in a more teasing way though. Gripping his chin, canting his head with a smile while complaining about how long that bite mark was on him, etc. Togame is slowly seducing Choji with the power of loyalty, keeping him fed, and taking him everywhere he can.

Tsubakino is a lot more... delicate in Ume's eyes. Not physically but in what their relationship means to him. He wants to appreciate the things Tsubakino wants to protect ( the things he likes ). Ume takes the time to get to know the real Tsubakino. Togame is the type to show up at Tsubakino's workplace and walk him home every night.

If the mood's right, Togame's willing to put the offer out. I envision they're in shared space one-on-one. Somewhere quiet, a bit more private. Togame might make it sound like a joke to gauge how Sakura reacts before pressing anything more. Ume... is unlikely to ever make a move on his underclassmen unless asked to do so.

Togame would kiss Nirei on a dare, yeah. As for Ume, see above. Hina would kiss him if they were ever dating. She gets impatient.

Okay, mental image of Togame kissing Kotoha's forehead or cheek after walking her home after a date is hella cute. ANYWAY. I think there are moments that are inherently intimate between Kotoha and Ume. He just files it away before the tension becomes any form of concrete thought, but I imagine that would be harder to do the closer they get. They're often in close quarters, sharing space, eyes to eyes. One day, he'll recognize that maybe he sees her as beautiful in more ways than one.

I think, for Togame, it would be a moment of relaxed friendly banter when it comes to Kanuma. As for Ume, this would probably be another dare.

Togame is liable to fumble his composure and kiss Choji at any point, so long as they're feeling connected. Ume says he'd kiss Choji if Choji ever asked, but it'd be 'kind of weird.'

There has been at least one instance when they were alone on the rooftop, and Ume considered... I could kiss Tsubakino right now but refrained. As for Togame, they'd have to be well into the flirting stages. Maybe by the point he openly plays with Tsubakino's hair. Eventually, it'd be hard to resist the temptation even if they haven't labeled anything.

Umemiya: Sakura's cutest trait is how he gets so shy around everyone! His blush is endearing. Togame: Everything about Sakura really stands out.

Umemiya: Nirei-kun's grown a lot recently! His fists are looking a bit heavier now. Togame: He has a nice smile ( it eases Sakura ).

Umemiya: Everything about Kotoha is perfect!! How can I pick one trait?! Togame: She has really nice hair.

Umemiya: Kanuma-kun seems like he has good spirit. Togame: I like his style.

As soon as hands reach towards his jacket, Hajime reflexively extends an arm forward to grab at Choji's shoulder to reel him back. So much enthusiasm in such a small person! He likes to see it though. Small changes leading to big results. This show must be a case of it. There's a sincere glint to his eye, and Hajime offers a familiar smile before he shrugs his coat back on appropriately.

“ You think you're ready to try this on for size? ” He coos almost asking like it's a taunt of sorts.

“ Sorry, Choji. This one belongs to Bofurin. ” With that, he dusts of the wrinkles in the fabric. Sporting his uniform is always a proud event. “ If you want to see how the size of and carried weight compares, you'll have to try a different strategy. ”

Curiosity gleams in his eyes as he observes the hesitation in Tsubakino's hands. Things should be more comfortable between them, but maybe this is more of an ask than he intends. Hajime notices the nerves in the way Tsubakino stands behind him unsure of what to do. Trust, however, is implicit between them. Retreating his hands to his seat, Hajime decides to lean backwards. Eyes peer up to his friend. There's an easy grin along his lips, and he chuckles to himself. “ It'll be easier this way. I promise. ” He reaffirms, his fingers tracing along the hem of his shirt.

His hands fold up the seams and pull the garment over his shoulders to toss it aside. Maybe tensions will ease if Hajime carries the burden; that's okay, too. Besides, he's the one who asked Tsubakino to play around with his makeup. No reason to put Tsubakino in any compromising position. “ Anything else I should take off before we start? ”
