“Playing about on the floor of the kitchen at his father’s restaurant, at 816 West 14th street, Irving Felnerman, 3 years old, fell into a kettle of boiling soup just then from the fire. He was scalded about the arms and chest and died a few hours later at the Francis E. Willard hospital.”
Irving wasn’t the first, and sadly likely not the last, to die from bathing in boiling broth.
