Hi, so I kin bojack bc I'm bpd, i see myself in Fear of abandonment, Unstable behavior, intense relationships, Distorted and unstable self-imageI, impulsive behavior, self-damaging behaviors (e.g., substance abuse, reckless actions),Recurrent suicidal or self-harming behavior, Extreme mood swings and emotional instability, Chronic feelings of emptiness, Inappropriate, intense angerStress-related paranoid thought and such, and also see some narcisistic traits such as Chronic blame-shifting, Hypersensitivity to criticism, Vulnerability to shame, Resistance to change yada yada. Anyways, i wanted to know how it's like to kin him as a possibly narcissistic person, if you're comfortable with sharing with me i'd apreciate very much/gen
Well I think npd and bpd have a lot of overlap so it’s really about our own personal experiences and how they change how we view the character Bojack! I think personally Bojack has more narcissistic tendencies than borderline tendencies. Plus a lot of the traits of bpd you are describing also are seen in individuals with npd. I think a lot of people tend to think of bojack and themselves as bpd rather than npd due to the stigma against narcissistic people. Aorry I’m wording this weirdly it’s 1:00am lol but yeah bojack is in my opinion much much MUCH more of a narcissist than a person with bpd but people don’t want to kin a narcissist so they often headcanon him as bpd instead. Not to say I think you have npd or that I think you’re a bad person for headcanoning him as having bpd! Anyway ummm if you have more questions feel free to ask in dms too if you’re comfortable!
