I finally went to my first Ghost ritual in Tulsa yesterday and honestly, it was one of the best nights of my life!
I was so worried I’d come off as annoying if I just approached folks asking if they’d like any of the little trinkets and bracelets I made, but everyone I met was so kind and welcoming, and they seemed to love my rats, bats, and grucifixes.
I tweaked my Halloween costume a bit, and dare I say I think it looked so much better as a mix of myself and Perpetua than trying to look exactly like him:
I did get the Perpetua plushie, and a few more things, but I’ll wait til I’m home to show them off.
I got so many bracelets and other neat things from trades, including some mummy dust that a younger Ghost fan was kind enough to offer for one of my Perpetua bats.
The ritual itself was a blast! If/when Ghost tours again, I’m definitely gonna go. I felt so happy being there and singing along with everyone, the energy was so incredible and hearing those songs live was just magical.

24 Karat Gold Tour, BOK Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, March 6th, 2017.
Concert Poster of the Day: Rush made a stop at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 21, 2010. This was apart of the Time Machine Tour. Like a lot of Rush shows, this one was three hours. On a number of tours, there were posters made for specific shows. You wouldn't always see the standard tour poster for each show. Here is another interesting one. Anyone in attendance at this show?
I just want to mention that as someone who grew up in the Tulsa area and surrounding area around Tulsa that seeing billboards saying "Silence Hate" and "Stand Together Against Hate" by the Boooker T. Washington Hornets for Unity and the "Black Lives Matter" and the Trump Death Cloak being displayed in Tulsa brought tears to my eyes because fuck yeah, don't let Trump be comfortable here. Remind Trump that we don't want him or his followers here and they are not as welcomed as they may think they are. And remind them how many people have lost there lives in the past 6 months because of Trump's carelessness.
Also to the protesters that will be protesting his rally, I love you and I hope you that you stay safe. Please go into this aware that at any given moment this can turn extremely ugly, be prepared for anything. I'm talking making sure you have an attorney's number written on your body somewhere that will represent you in case you are arrested. Make sure to have plenty of water on hand, drink some before you leave. Be prepared that you may be shot at and tear gased, and come prepared to come with things to not only protect and take care of yourself but others that may have been injured. Make sure you aren't wearing anything the police, secret service, or guard can identify you with, bring an extra change of clothes too for when you leave or incase in the event of teargas. If you take pictures or videos while there, please make sure no ones face is seen in them.
I wish I could be standing alongside you as you march, but I have to take my brother back to rehab in Arkansas during this time.
My heart is with you and please be safe and careful.
And to the racist and Trump supporters: fuck you.
Consider this - Nickelback has sold the BOK Center out twice. NICKELBACK. One of the most annoying, inauthentic, top 40 by-the-books alternative rock bands there's ever been. Trump couldn't even match their numbers with a ten foot pole.
