Okay.
Diving around different articles and various sources, I have come to the conclusion that:
-The Vulcans have a more established and cohesive canon that will be easy to follow and practice writing character types and POVs I am not used to -Andorians are "whatever the fuck you want so long as the population is in a crisis and answers the question nobody asked of 'What if Shou Tucker was babysitting a Klingon and a Vulcan?'"
In other words, I'll eventually have some sort of thing cobbled together for which aspects of canon I'm applying to the characters here.

I have to start over on my friend's baby blanket
I was in the sci-fi/fantasy section of a bookstore a couple weeks ago (shocker). And while browsing, there was a couple there that didn't seem to be interested in the books and figured that this was the "loser" section. They're getting a bit handsy with each other but like...surely they'd stop right?
NO. They start AUDIBLY making out.
Verbal confrontation is a crapshoot. My voice is always too loud or too quiet. Also my throat is dry and the last thing I need is to rasp like a dying bog witch. But hey it's a bookstore! There's BOOKS to look at and those two are in the way of books that could be mine! Problem solved.
I then proceed to roll a nat 1 on my attempt to slip by and end up bonking the woman's shoulder.
But hey then they left and I was able to enjoy book browsing in peace.
Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.
Trying at it again with that Second Story video on fanfic ruining a generation
"This is probably the tamest thing I found on AO3"
first, ma'am, "probably" the tamest tells me you're stupid
Second of all I assure you I have written stuff far tamer than Princes Leia/Jabba the Hut noncon
Advice to anybody who wants to get published...if you have to start your book off with a note reminding people your fantasy novel is a work of fiction to preempt complaints... perhaps the genre is not for you if you are this insecure about it
