Lena sighed, not good with children at all. But this boy did have half of her DNA, so she needed to try. “It’s alright, Kieran. I guess I should’ve realized that.. And you don’t have to call me ma’am. Lena is fine. Or anything else you are comfortable with.”

The odd, tall blue box was just there, standing where there was supposed to be none, and Emma patted it a little, trying to tell what material it was, because it certainly wasn’t easy to lift and carry around. She hadn’t moved it one bit. Maybe it had something to do with the trolls she had been told were starting to hide there to rob travelers? “What do you think?” she asked a bird, but then a noise caught her attention and the princess turned - a man in odd clothes, therefore likely connected to the box, was now there. “Hello! I didn’t touch it,” she said immediately, before shaking her head, “That’s not true. I touched this, sorry. Is it yours?”

“You excited to spend the night with your Uncle Conner, Gracie?” Conner asked, talking in the high-pitched baby talk. After much insistence, the Superfriends have convinced Grace’s mothers to take a day off; no parenting or superhero duties, just relax; leaving Conner to babysit. He didn’t mind. “What do you wanna do today?”

The sounds of the restaurant echo in Marisa’s ear. A tinkle of glasses, the low hum of other conversation, and the footsteps of servers are familiar. Reassuringly so. She always hated waiting for people, but at least this meant she wouldn’t have to be fully alone. A bottle of red wine was already placed on the table and she leaned backed, her full glass resting in her hand. Then she spotted her. A grin spreads across her lips. There she was. Clearly there was something that she needed to know badly if she was coming to her. She waited until the woman was brought up to her table, not even bothering to stand. “I’m so happy that you could make it, Ms. Grant. Would you care to join me?”

“I have a confession to make.” Kara admitted. “You might want to sit down for this.”
EMMA ( @boldbravefree )
Emma Nolan was by far the best thing to have ever happened to Alyssa Greene. and the fact that she didn’t feel safe to share that with the world sucked. she was really working on it she was, she wanted Emma to believe she’d do anything for her because she would except... that this whole situation was messed up and she didn’t want to lose her mother. she could deal with the rest of the world, but she wanted Emma and her mother. still, the prom. that was supposed to be their moment. their thing. she’d asked Emma to go with her and she’d had this whole big plan but... her mother, the pta, they had other plans. no homosexuals at their prom.
so here she was meeting up with Emma, under the bleachers this time. before school. her mother thought she was there for extra math help - it’s easy to get away with those lies when your mother expects perfection and you basically achieve it. “I should’ve seen this coming... I'm sorry, I'm sorry this is happening Em.”

“thank you.” alyssa snuggles further into emma’s side. possessively further. dropping the topic was not as easy as it sounded. “am i prettier that her?”
