This had been happening more and more frequently for some time now, and was probably the result of falsified emotions. Or perhaps after all this time even Roxas was starting to doubt his own, nonexistent, human credentials, and was trying to make up for it with overtures of debatable affection between inanimate food items. Only none of the gestures felt organic, and seemed more like he had read about them somewhere and was field-testing them on acquaintances for later implementation.
“…I mean they say you can’t love, but I’m fairly positive that between me and sea salt, it was love at first b—”
Roxas froze in a placating manner, and couldn’t seem to wipe his startled expression away from the ashen skin. He could sense the judgmental stares, lurking behind that preliminary pause for his words to fully sink in.
"Oh...” The youngest Organization member wilted in obvious disappointment, “it's just you."
separation // lea & sora
In truth, seeking out a fellow Keyblade wielder could prove to be a trying task. If he were to go from his own personal experience alone, Sora would realize that he very rarely paused while he peregrinated across the vast universe--why would he when he had so much to see? Coupling this with the likely endless supply of worlds, the likelihood of finding one traveler was significantly reduced.
Sora, though, was never one to check probabilities. (His mathematical skills left a lot to be desired even if he had ever thought to play the odds.)
Who needs math when you have sharp instincts, anyway?
Radiant Garden lived up to its name. Since last he'd stepped foot on the cobblestone streets, the repairs had been numerous, extending all the way to brand new buildings painted along the skyline. As impressive as the soothing atmosphere was, Sora wasted no time in soaking the sights in; primarily, his focus was on searching for a head of fiery hair. Why, though?
--he needed a friend.
Roxas had offered his memories to Sora, providing insight on the life the Nobody had endured as a separate entity. The knowledge came with the realization that Axel, as he had been, was a close friend; a best friend. While it had been Roxas and not Sora who'd carried out the connection, Sora hoped (prayed) that Lea would be willing to channel their prior friendship. Perhaps they weren't the same people, but they could still find common ground if they tried, right? Sora could only close his eyes and hope, hope, hope.
Wandering across the path and down a flight of concrete stairs, Sora took a moment to scan the area. How long had he been walking? As the cool breeze ruffled his haphazard spikes, the teenager breathed out a sigh and wondered, if only for a moment, how futile this truly was.
"Lea could be anywhere," he mumbled to himself as he gripped a cool railing and peered at the platform below. "I'm never gonna find him..."

Oh, what was this? Today seemed to be a busy day for the castle with the number of visitors it was getting today. "A lot of visitors today.." the child spoke quietly to himself before speaking up to the strangers - though one seemed almost eerily familiar. "Hello.. is there something I can help you with..?
