"If it isn't Gwen Tennyson. Are you still playing 'hero' with your cousin?"
A small smile graced her lips, watching the expression on his face. "Very" She replied softly, reaching a hand out towards Cloud. "See for yourself"
That voice had a profound effect on Cloud, and even after two years, it still seemed to do the same. His head straightened up, then lowered once more, having confirmed that his eyes and ears weren't playing tricks on him. Abandoning Fenrir where it stood, he began his approach, where what wind and sunlight was available illuminated their presence here.
"...Yeah."
It seemed his doubts were starting to disappear. Of course, this left Cloud with an important question, however small it was in words. Yet it needed to be asked, because this was nothing short of a bittersweet reunion.
"...How?"
"Cloud..."
Now that was a face he was not expecting. Then again, every now and then, fate decided to throw a curve ball. It also explained his facial expression, which could only be described as a cacophony of emotions. While he was overjoyed to see Aerith, it also reminded him of his failures.
"Are you...real?
I am definitely human and definitely not one of Santa's elves and have a perfectly human and innocent query: what would you like for Christmas?
Being able to make out with the girl of my dreams without being seen as a incestial pervert...
"Oh I like perfume, dresses and skirts...because that's what us girls like... But I can't tell you my sizes cause I don't want them! that's taboo.."
Ungraceful ♋ Encounter
The in-training Avatar was no stranger to such weather, in fact you could say she revelled in it, her home was in a constant state of winter. Thus treading through this forest was nothing out of the ordinary, of course there was far more greenery here, the North Pole wasn't exactly the lushest place. And luckily for her having a polar-bear dog as your friend helped navigate through such deep snow with ease. However the cold still pinched at her cheeks, and even through her heavy coat did she feel the winds sharp bite. Still there was a more pressing matter at hand, though the weather might be familiar her location wasn't. She'd thought maybe this was some spirit world thing, even if she wasn't exactly in-tune with that side of being the Avatar yet.
An even further pressing matter were the abundance of wildlife that thought she looked rather edible sitting on top of her snowy companions back. Wolves, and not too happy looking either perhaps they'd strayed into their 'territory' or something? In any case as large and powerful as Naga was to scare them off, four of them would give her a hard time. With Korra's aid perhaps but she wasn't all too keen about attacking animals, much less setting them on fire. So they'd taken the next option and legged it, both human and beast running through deep snow rather ungracefully. Only coming to a halt when she stumbled onto a path, the sudden shift under her feet unexpected as she quickly found herself colliding with the floor, backside first somehow missing another walking on said road.
"Ah- whoa!" A loud yelp escaping her, slightly winded from the fall. Naga came not long after, skidding slightly but managing to stop before flopping next to her. Thankfully the wolves seemed to pause in their pursuit, their howls could still be heard not far off however. "Today just isn't our day is it girl?" Rubbing at her rear unabashed, her words spoken under her breath. Though she was glad to see another face, a human one that hopefully wouldn't want to cause her harm. "But seriously am I glad to see someone else around here, I do not want to be wolf dinner" talking at the stranger as she rose to her feet, boots managing to grip better on the icy path this time.
"Any way," letting a large sigh of relief out, dusting off her trousers of any extra snow and dirt. "Sorry for almost ramming right into you" she apologised with a wave of her hand finally able to study her new acquaintance a little closer. There was something strangely familiar about him, though his face was overshadowed by a hood. Shaking the feeling off she placed both hands firmly on her hips, "any chance you know how to get rid of hungry wolves? Or um the nearest town maybe? Yeah that'd help," or a comfy chair for her most likely bruised behind.
"um hey aqua" he smiled at her rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh? Ven! I didn't see you there."
"Is everything okay?"
mortisvigil started following you
The seeress gazed at her guardian with ever knowing eyes. She knew his plans to try to save her; it was not her wish for him to spend his eternity pursuing such things. All she wished was to walk by his side, him and Noel's. Yes, she had been born again many times, but she always remembered pieces and feelings from her past selves. And she had always seen Caius as her protector, and friend.
"It has been a long time, Caius. Where did you go?"
