A Joel Granger Appreciation Post
(and why he is the best Elder McKinley y’all can fight me on this)
1. he looks the part for mckinley. like red hair? check. ridiculously large smile? check
2. someone’s already said it on here but he plays the character a lot less like a caricature and more like a real person. he’s still hilarious throughout the show but his performance definitely makes you empathise more with the character’s repression
3. he’s a redhead. enough said.
4. obviously great dancer, fantastic singer yada yada
5. he’s a kiwi (and his accent is wonderful)
6. we met him at the stage door and he was so nice even though i was literally starstruck and silent for about thirty seconds. he asked us what we thought of the show and then said he had seen it FIVE times before he was even involved and overall he was just so wholesome and friendly and i just
7. also: go check out his instagram and/or book of mormon australia instagram stories because he is a genuine treasure
8. love that subtle mcpriceley; soft eyes in tomorrow is a latter day, “was i in it?” iconic as always not to mention he basically swooned when price gave his line about breaking the rules
9. overall so wholesome, so talented, can’t understand why he hasn’t got the attention he deserves on this site
