If it’s not obvious, she’s one of my least favorite characters...She was a mistake that I can’t erase...Get the popcorn ready folks, this is gonna be a long one...
So back when I was still living with my folks, they had this weird thing they’d do where they would take in random strangers off the street. Thankfully they never brought in anyone evil, but I always saw this as them being WAAAAAAAAAAAY too charitable.
Of the few they brought in, I can only remember two. The first one was this Sukeban who had a big latex fetish and claimed she was an alien or something, and the second one...Well, let’s call her ‘Lucy’.
Lucy was a mime/jester/whatever girl straight from France. She came to make it big as a street performer in the States, before my parents brought her in and had her join the circus we worked at.
Lucy was...lusty, to say the least. She REALLY loved latex and balloons and anything that could inflatable, from pool rings to parade floats, and she was not subtle about her fetishes. Hell, her jester outfit was made of latex and had multiple inflatable components to it.
While my parents didn’t mind her, Lucy proved to be a big pain in the ass to me and Dot. She eventually calmed down around us and we became ‘ok’ friends. Ok enough that I decided to allow her to make a character for Nonkina Ace, after having bugged me about for weeks on end as a B-Day gift.
I....regret that greatly...
I gave her a strict set of rules and guidelines on how to make her character, and you know what she did??? SHE FUCKIN’ IGNORED IT ALL. I remember her giving me her character sheet, and it was the most Mary Sue thing I had ever read. But I promised her that I would use the character in at least one chapter, so I took her sheets and said ‘This is great! But I’m gonna make a ‘‘‘‘‘‘‘few’’’’’’’ small adjustments~’.
Luckily she couldn’t tell that I was lieing, so I had to scramble to make an entirely new character using her aesthetics and self as a base, but ultimately I was able to make something that fit into the Nonkinaverse and was able to please her.
Thankfully when I did the OC Submissions for the Ironvein Team Tournament arc I didn’t run into any issues like with Lucy’s first pass. But still, the character will haunt me forever, while Deviantart creeps who haven’t even read NA will praise her as being the best character...
