When I watched as no foamy head was produced while pouring this Triporteur Special Roast Winter Oak, I was worried the flat beer before me would soon get poured down the sink, but after taking a sip of this not quite completely flat beer (1+ year past its expiration date) from the BOMBrewey (brewed by Brouwerij Anders!) I fell for its smoky roasted malt character with toffee, coffee, chocolate, peppery bbq spice and burnt woody character with Bourbon vanilla. Brewed using the brewery’s own barley and wheat malts, plus ripened with their own roasted Quercus alba chips.
