❝ permission to party ; bona & jaewoo
Honestly, the event was so bad, in fact it was something that one would like--if they were about forty or something. Most of the events he went with his family was like this, he probably should have expected that he would find himself in this situation yet again. A part of him had just hoped that his brother would be around to keep him company for once, but that didn't seem to be the case. It was an unexpected meeting at some company that Jaewoo couldn't really remember and thus leaving him to be the only child for the night. It required patience, to keep up with conversations that went on between his parents and the people that sat on their table. He couldn't exactly understand why he had to be part of this, he had already been to enough to a lot of them to know just how they were. There had been too much exposure for him already. It was enough and the only thing he wanted was to get out, have the night with his friends and do just about any crazy thing that they could do together, but for now this was that crazy night that he envisioned.
Excusing him from the next topic that was being brought up by his father, one that he wasn't so pleased about either. They were talking about Jiyeon's father yet again which would eventually lead to him insulting his friend and the way she is. The last thing he wanted was to listen to the crap that he had to say. He wasn't like his mother who was so patient with what his father talked about, thinking that he was the best thing around. Adjusting the coat of his suit, he found himself walking towards the bar to look around for something to drink. It seemed to be a good idea if he were to go ahead and do something else that could take his mind off what was happening right now. After asking for some cocktail that he wasn't so familiar with, his chocolate brown orbs found themselves scanning the area packed with the elite, hoping that by some miracle, he'd be able to find someone he knew. Why didn't these people bring their kids around to these things? He probably would have used that opportunity to have some new friends around.
And as if someone was listening to her, he found his eyes landing on someone that he was pretty familiar with. Lee Bona. She was someone whom he had met through a friend of his, but it never seemed to progressed from simple greetings considering that there weren't any classes (after all, she was a first year and he was in his fourth) nor extracurricular activities that they had together. Maybe he could use this chance to get to know her and another thing to it, he wouldn't be so bored by himself and she wouldn't be as well, seeing that she seemed to be in a similar situation as he was in earlier. She was seated with her parents and a few other people that his father knew and that was pretty much it.
With his breath held in, he made his way towards her table after finishing his drink and tapped her shoulder lightly. It caused her table mates to shift their attention to him, making him offer them a polite smile before speaking, "Ah, hello. Han Jaewoo, son of Han Jinwoo of Hangook Companies. Bona's schoolmate." Wanting to take himself off that awkward moment that he created for himself, a soft chuckle came out of his lips and said, "Think it'll be okay if I stole you away for a bit?"
