Although it was just a normal after school practice, some of the boys on the team always stayed a bit later than usual, mainly due to the fact they usually wanted to play a scrimmage game before packing their bags and heading home. It was also times like these that a few spectators would come to watch the scrimmage, most of them being female Jeguk students throughout the five different years. Of course, some shouts and cheers can be heard among them - making many of the players have different reactions towards their audience. Some of the players became distracted by the attention while others grew irritated with their presence. However, Sungmin was indifferent. He was neither distracted nor irritated, just too focused on the game at hand.
It was the last play before it was time to call it quits, the players running low on stamina for the day. The ball was thrown in and It wasn’t long at all before the ball was passed to the third year by a teammate while the sound of cleats crunched harshly against the grass after it. Smoothly handling the ball between his feet, Sungmin juggled it around the defensive players - trying his best to remain agile during his momentum. Closing in towards the goal and watching closely as both teams began to huddle to either protect or steal the ball that lied in his possession, the male quickly found an opening and took the chance - propelling the ball towards the goal and making it into the far corner of the net once the goalie allowed it to slip through his fingers. At his succession, Sungmin grinned.
Cheers were heard from both his teammates and the girls who came to watch the practice, though there were some teasing remarks being thrown around about him hogging too much of the ball. Sungmin merely laughed as the entire team shooks hands with one another and patted each other’s backs. Once the celebration subsided, Sungmin walked over to his sports bag to retrieve his much needed water bottle when he heard a very familiar voice speaking towards him. Looking up towards the bleachers, Sungmin’s eyes reached the girl’s who sat on the fourth row, the male looking curious and surprised all the while. It actually took him a moment to actually realize who it was, the girl’s appearance having changed quite a bit since their last meeting. Eyes wide and with a grin in his lips, Sungmin pulled the water bottle from his lips and greeted his once bed-ridden friend.
“Summer, is that really you?” He asked to clarify, shocked to see the young woman at the soccer field of all place, at Jeguk no less. Deciding to turn on his overpowering charms just to bother the other, the grin on his features turned teasing and mischievous. “Did you really miss me that much that you had to come and follow me to Jeguk? I feel flattered.”
