Time Warp [+bondswithinhope]
He was supposed to have returned to his time, to his former location where he was mid-journey when Paradox and Yusei appeared.
But this didn’t look like the right place.
Judai walked cautiously down the run down streets, hoping to figure out where he was. In the distance he could sort of see what looked like city lights, but here everything was dark. He heard shuffling and then spotted from the corner of his eyes some kids hanging out in an alleyway, weird marks on their faces. Something about the marks looked familiar. Not wanting any trouble, he continued walking and tried to ignore it.
The wind blew and a flyer landed in Judai’s hands, advertising an old riding duel competition. Suddenly something in his head clicked. Those marks--they were like the one Yusei had on his face! He must have ended up too far in the future somehow.
He looked around. He must have ended up in Yusei’s era.
Crumpling the flyer in his hand, Judai took off running, guided entirely by his intuition. He had to find Yusei. Someone here had to know him. He ran around asking any passerby he came across and he was eventually guided to an old underground subway station. He cautiously scouted the area upon entering; who knew where those strangers could have guided him to? Still, somehow his instinct was to believe them--that this was the right place.
“...Yusei?” he voiced out, closing the door he’d just walked through behind himself. He didn’t see anyone. There were a lot of... parts, he observed, his hand reaching out to touch what looked like it once might have been part of a hood of a car...or something--he wasn’t much of a mechanic.
