He paused tapping his hand against the trackpad of his keyboard. What should he write? Would Judai even see it? Did the Internet work between two times? But it sure looked like his page.. Recollecting himself, the mechanic sighed as he typed. "I don't know if this will reach you.. But it's Yusei and it looks like.. I might have found you.. Judai?" He typed I miss you after but shook his head backing it up erasing the last words rubbing his eyes as he set his head down on his keyboard.
Juudai was deep in his travels, having visited the realms of spirits and beyond, gone over dimension thresholds, and everything in between. In fact, he wasn’t so certain as to where he was when he reached a city with cell reception and a nice stranger helped to hook him up to the internet.
That was when he saw the message from Yusei on his pda. His eyes grew wide in surprise. How had that reached him and how long ago had it been sent? He supposed it wouldn’t really matter, since they were from different times anyway. Perhaps to Yusei it would feel as though no time had passed whatsoever between sending it and Juudai actually seeing it.
He settled down on the futon of the travel inn he had settled down at for the night and decided to try writing back:
Hey, Yusei. Not sure how long ago you sent that but I just saw it. It’s me. Maybe I’m closer to you than I think. Staying at an inn for the night, might look for you tomorrow. Gotcha!
He ended it on his infamous catch phrase, reminiscent of his days as a vigorous duelist at Duel Academia. After all, that was how he was when Yusei had met him.
