How to: Bone Charms

Nobody asked for this, but here we go. A quick tutorial of how I craft dishonored-inspired bone charms. They're not an exact replica from the games, but fun to make regardless

Materials: You need some bone of choice, for this i used a broken deer jaw, as well as various metal thingies (if you know someone who does metal work, ask to look through their scraps) and wire to tie it all together. As far as tools go, a sturdy pocketknife and something to scratch fine lines if you're feeling ambitious to do detailed work. Not pictured are some paint/ink and something to cut wire.

The Carving: i prefer sketching out a rough design in pencil first, but do as you like. The picture shows pretty much how i hold the knife. Is it smart? Probably not, but it works. For this design i also used the scratching tool thingy on the whale part.

To make the carved design pop a little more, i go over the whole thing with a dark ink wash

The last step is just taking some metal greeblies that fit into your concept and some wire to literally tie it all together. No glue or anything fancy needed.
