He should’ve taken Sasuke’s advice. It wasn’t that he didn’t think he thought Sasuke knew what he was talking about. In fact, Sasuke knew exactly what he had been saying. Klaus had agreed with everything that had been said during their little session. It was odd, because there would have been times Klaus would fight to defend himself and then there were times like….well, like this. He seated against a tree near the pond in Cotes Ward. He was injured and this time, he believed he wasn’t really going to make it. A sword so close to the heart was to do more than just a number.

Eyes closes slowly, but the moment they do, they shoot open and he’s gripping his Father’s sword tightly in his hand. He’s not going to use it but he still has the sharp end pointed directly at which the sound of footsteps had come.
