OH SHIT, another one? That's right. A brand new Relationship starter call. I figured it would be nice to start all over AND maybe add a couple of new choices in here. Anyway, by liking this starter call I'm going to go ahead and assume I can just throw you a spontaneous and random starter whenever, send you memes, scream about our characters in the DM, plot randomly, etc!

Friends? Klaus could use more friends actually. This guy is almost a little too recluse, isn't he? He keeps himself plenty busy with training, working at both Bubu Pharmacy and Lionheart, but that doesn't mean he doesn't ever have free time. Talk to him, see what he's like, and be his friend! I promise, Klaus can be fun!
Close Friends? Klaus doesn't have many of these, but the ones he does have, he cherishes them. He cherishes all of his friends, but there are just a handful who seems to understand exactly what kind of guy he is. May know him in a deeper level, even! Things he's worried about, things he really, really enjoys, what he's scared of, stuff like that.
Mentor? Currently, he’s being taught and trained under Kratos and he’s learning a lot as he goes. From flying, to learning more about how to wield a sword, and learning about other things. Klaus goal is to learn as much as he can about everything so if you have anything you can teach him, he’d welcome it.
Fellow Angel? There aren't many angels here, but the ones that ARE around, he'd like to meet them. He’d like to know some of the things they go through. It’d be nice to have an angel friend or just someone who can relate to him. He’s actually scared about what he is…It’d be pretty cool if someone like him could show him that there’s nothing to be scared of.
Rivals? Nothing negative of course. Klaus is probably---MAYBE the only rival who'd want to get better in the way of 'let's get better together.' HAH, wait is that even considered a rivalry, because Klaus would be that guy that'd cheer his rival on!
What about something else? I know there’s MORE to relationship than these, so if you have any ideas PLEASE hit me up! I’m always down for ideas~!
" ...oh yeah? But you can... can you give birth otherwise? "
He couldn't tell if Klaus was speaking generally or not. It could be an angel thing? Guess it was okay though. The whole adopting thing, he might have gotten ahead of himself out of surprise. Not everyone argued with Aurelius, he knew that much too.
"I have heard that angels could if they wanted," he says thoughtfully. "Both my parents were angels."
Klaus would rather Eiden didn't know some things about what was going on. Especially with sebastian, but he also deserves to know!
"Sebastian has been targeting those close to Aurelius. We just worry that being in the same area wouldn't be safe. I....don't think Sebastian would actually harm a child, but..."
Sephiroth made an affirmative sound. He liked the bed a lot and his plush dolls fit perfectly. He got up and made his way over to Klaus. He clung to his arm.
"I picked it, too!" He gave a playful pout. "Father helped a little." It felt nice to say the word Father and not feel any pang of pain from it. Sephiroth couldn't help but smile.
"Yes, of course!" Klaus laughs at the little playful pout. "Between you and me, Aurelius would have picked something awful luxurious. You deserve it, but this bed is more your style." A hand runs through Sephiroth's hair. "Mmm, I was thinking we could make something you like. Kickstart our new home with your favorite meal.
"I wouldn't say a lot. Perhaps enough to get by." And it wasn't that the other told him these things: it was just things that the shade had come to notice.
"He seems to have an affinity for gourds, for starters. He's brought up a pumpkin soup whenever I've talked with him..." Shadow thought about it, "Maybe even butternut squash is in the question..."
"...Colors...Colors colors colors..." Shadow tapped his cheek, this was something he was taking more seriously than one would think he would.
"He seems to favor dark neutrals...(But maybe that's because he doesn't seem to be the type to be allowed colors...)" Shadow made that last comment to himself.
"That's all I know. I don't think that's the most helpful thing ever.."
Klaus mentally takes note of these. It is sweet, actually, how Shadow thinks he wasn't helpful. "No, this was great. Thank you. You see, I want to do things with him and make things for him that he may like." It sounded fun to explore new things as well!
"One last thing? Do you know where he frequents the most?"
“…T-T-Till. Th-that’s my name, I-I mean…” He stutters, turning an even deeper red at the compliment.
“Th-thanks, but I d-don’t think I’m that good…” Till turns to a new page in his sketchbook.
“Lemme draw you again. If ya don’t wanna think of it as an apology, let’s just say it’s ‘cause I think it’s sad ya don’t get t’ see art so much.” It certainly has nothing to do with Till’s fear of failure… or the way he can’t stand to let anyone see him at less than his best artistically.
Klaus nods, sparing the poor boy if wanting to see the one he had already drawn. He can tell (and hear) how hard he is being to himself about failure and art.
"Sure!" And so, he stands still. He's worked as a model for Eiden, so he gets some of the stuff down. Just don't move, right?
the polite nature of this man is reassuring. the inquisitor knows next to nothing about him, but he'd approached him out of an appreciation for nature and its creations. somehow it feels that he really does understand, despite the clunky explanation.
he watches the weapon, fascinated. ' do you … communicate? i've never thought about what my weapons may be thinking. they're probably tired of getting swung around. '
He knows how important titles are for some people. For the longest time, Sebastian went around using his whole title, Klaus remembers vividly. There are others, too.
"Inquisitor, it is then," he says, acknowledging.
Klaus detaches his sword from his hip, still sheathed. "We do. Though not through words. Uriel and I communicate through other means. If you listen carefully, you may hear it hum, but that isn't how it communicates with me.
What about you and Orahn? How do you two communicate?"
Shadow should really calm down, so he does, relenting despite his knee-jerk jealous reaction.
"I can't possibly imagine what it is you wish to speak about but. You have my attention." Shadow folded his hands together, leaning a bit closer with interest.
Klaus couldn't hide the smile even if he tried. Now, he lowers himself to at least get to the same level as Shadow. "I wish for this to also be our little secret," he says, quietly.
"You know a lot about Sephiroth, right? Things that he likes? Very colors? Food he enjoys, maybe?"
"That's good. I am glad that you met someone like Veoc. He's good for you and treats you well." Eiden deserved only the best of the best kind of treatment!
"Ah, actually....Aurelius and I decided to welcome someone else into our little family. His name is Sephiroth. Have you met him yet? He's a wonderful kid."
And he sure does! Eiden's got no complaints with Veoc. Eiden would be happy to yap about him endlessly but then Klaus goes and drops a bomb.
" A kid?! You... adopted or something like that?! I don't think I.. " he pauses, continuing with a frown, " ...I can't imagine that guy with a kid at all. Is that okay?! How did that even happen?! I could be wrong but I'm assuming you didn't just give birth to one...?"
"We couldn't give birth here, I don't think," Klaus says with a laugh. "Sephiroth is joining our little family. In fact, we just moved to Sky Strewn. I figured we should be far away from Sebastian to keep Sephiroth safe."
"I--, I'm sorry." though, he puts Uriel back in its hold. A hand pats over the blade with a soft sigh. "A break may be nice." He doesn't even remember the last time they actually took one. He moves, grabbing a towel for him and Reinite and grabbing a couple of bottled drinks for them as well.
The towel is draped over his neck as he comes to a full sit. He dabs the sweat away and twist open the cap of the water bottle to drink.
The angel sighs out and hangs his head.
There really is something bothering him. He wouldn't want to burden Reinite with his worry, but...
"A friend was murdered not too long ago and I couldn't do anything about it. We are to meet after this, but I feel I should have been there to protect her." What use was it being a creature closest to God if he couldn't even do that?
' the inquisition formed after disaster struck the country. we seek to protect and return order. so far, we've succeeded. '
it's a pitifully simple way of putting it and iloren still hasn't quite mastered talking to people who have no idea what the inquisition is. he's spent a year being recognized at first glance. it's a difficult transition.
he bows his head. ' inquisitor lavellan. i'm pleased to meet you. '
raising again, the inquisitor's gaze sticks to the sword at the man's side. it made a humming noise when he put a hand on it— iloren's eyebrows crinkle. ' your sword, is it … alive? '
"Ah, I understand." He may not know what they were in Iloren's world, BUT he knew exactly the kind of duty they had to uphold. Protecting people, restoring order, and making sure things were just it was all things Klaus was familiar with.
It was why he picked up Lionheart when Corvus asked him to do so. It was everything he stood for.
Klaus bows his head at the introduction. "A pleasure, Inquisitor Lavellan. My name is Klausm Avenue." Klaus's green eyes lower to the sword by his side. "It is sentient. It was my father's sword, made by him." Uriel was very dear to his heart, especially after what Aurelius gave back to him.
Sephiroth still couldn't believe everything that just happened. He sat down on the bed he has picked out with Aurelius and stared out the window. If someone had told him that he'd be far away from Shinra and living like a normal person, he'd call them a liar and cruel for getting his hopes up.
Sephiroth looked over when he heard Klaus walk in and quickly rubbed any tears away from his eyes.
"I do. Thank you..." he paused for a moment, hesitating before continuing, "Thank you, papa."
Klaus feels something tug at his heart. Never in his life, if he were honest with himself, did he ever think he'd be worthy of such a title. He's always wanted to be a father, but his world prevented him from even thinking of such a thing for too long.
"I am glad you like it, Sephiroth." His smile is warm, reaches his eyes. He's sure Aurelius can feel the emotion that bubbles up inside of him.
"The bed Aurelius picked is very nice. It fits the room perfectly."
"Ah, you weren't there." Huh, then who was it he saw? Klaus shakes his head, "Then it must have been my imagination. I guess I thought I saw you." How embarrassing. It could be another of his mind-reading visions.
"My name is Klaus. Mm, I'm sorry, but could we talk for a bit? It is about Sephiroth."
He's a wonderful kid."
the jest wasn't meant to fish for a compliment, but it's appreciated anyways. iloren breathes out a laugh at the flustered reaction. the man looks incredibly pink.
' i'll take it, ' he says and lets it go afterward. wouldn't want him to get any redder. ' it's a red hart. they're incredibly rare— the inquisition was so kind as to provide one for me. a triumph of breeding and careful training, they'd called it. it'll only let me ride it. '
"That's incredible. A bond like that is always amazing." He knew that such a bond was incredibly important as well. "Me and Uriel share that kind of bond as well." He places his hand on the sword by his hip. It hums softly, like a heavenly tone.
"Hey there, new neighbour!" He's popping in through the window as usual, but this time he's not empty-handed. Klaus gets handed a handmade wooden wind-chime and box of walnut cookies. "If I knew you two have a kid now I would've added another bird to it. Congrats, by the way! Didn't know you could do that or how it works but I'm sure you'll be good parents."
"Oh! Thank you, Monkey King. This is lovely, and I'm sure Aurelius will love it." He knows Sephiroth will, too!
"We should stop by soon. I'd love for Sephiroth to meet you and Sun." Wouldn't it be nice for Sephiroth to get to know the neighbors of Sky-Strewn Isle? It was much safer up here, away from Sebastian.
