He'd hardly been in this city long at all and yet! Here it was, another mystery, right on everyone's doorsteps; a mysterious disappearance, not a trace left! Granted, it wasn't like Sho was happy or excited about this prospect and there was generally no way to put a positive spin on people going missing like this. Make no mistakes, it was with no glee at all that Sho had absorbed each and every word of each and every news report he found. No, this was just a natural symptom of his chronic nosiness, that ever-present need to solve any mystery and problem that stood before him. Whether anybody wanted him to attempt it or not. Still, this mystery was intriguing enough to have brought Sho to the very place this Felix was last seen. To be specific, Sho was loitering in the exact spot Felix was said to have smoked that cigarette. He'd already tried a few things... pacing up and down, staring really intently at the wall for a while, staring at the ground instead, but ultimately, he was waiting for someone to show up so he could bombard them with questions.
He'd just about given up when someone came close enough to the comedy club's entrance for him to neatly intercept them, stepping right in their path. "Helloooo~" said Sho, by way of friendly greeting. Too friendly, perhaps. Maybe not very convincing. Look, he'd never been a people's person. "You wouldn't happen to be a regular here or anything? Wouldn't happen to have known this Felix guy?"

WITHOUT LOOKING UP FROM THE STACK OF PAPERS on her desk, Joanna pulled the lollipop from her lips and informed, "If you're here to report something about that missing racer, you've come to the wrong place." It was an assumption, but after having multiple misinformed Vegas natives and visitors alike show up at her receptionist desk, some with excuses of not wanting to bother law enforcement on the case, it only made sense to Joanna to get such a disclaimer out of the way. "I can give you the number of the tip line or point you in the direction of the police station, but I can tell you now if you think you were the last person to see him, you're gonna have to get in line. Unless he really was such a speed racer that he managed to get all over town before disappearing." Her narration couldn't have been anything more than casual as she spoke about such a topic, finally lifting her eyes from the casual sorting of public records she had been busying herself with. "Or you can tell me. You still would have to go report it to them, too, but I'm kinda bored and just nosy enough to listen to anything that isn't another grandma mad about kids riding bikes past her house."
The images of what she'd seen on that night in late July were still lodged in her brain, no matter how hard she tried to rid herself of them--and given the fact that she was a literal assassin, she'd seen a lot. Hell, she'd done a lot. But nothing had given her much reprieve, despite the fact that she'd been drinking a bit more than usual lately. However, everything changed when the body had been found. For a while there, she thought she'd managed to get by without detection but clean up wasn't really her area of expertise and she feared that she'd made a mistake or two. And Jae-Hui is the one that had made the discovery. Great. With tensions already on the rise, she figured she could somehow salvage this. So she'd put on her most normal-seeming outfit: jeans and a gray t-shirt--no identifiable logos or words on it. She'd thought about going on in all black but that sort of gave off the vibe of assassin, did it not? Finishing off her outfit with an old pair of Converse, she locked the door to her dingy apartment and headed off for the races.
When she finally tracked down the Drifters, the streets were loud and crowded. This certainly wasn't the place where she'd actively choose to spend her time. But she was on a mission. She knew Jae would be here. Amidst all of the cheers and engines that were loud as shit, she finally spotted him in the crowd. He was now the Neon Drifters' stand-in captain. He was the one to talk to. No one seemed to take notice of her and she slipped by and made her way over to the newly-crowned captain. Taking a hold of his arm, as if she'd done it a thousand times before, she leaned in and said "I have some information about the late captain's demise that I think you might be interested in. Why don't you take me for a spin in that fancy ride of yours and I can tell you what I know?"
BREAKING NEWS! JEREMIAH WAKEFIELD AND MARLEEN SILVIA going live... the preliminary autopsy for felix martyn, performed by the clark county coroner's office, indicated that the cause of death was acute blood loss, but the coroner could not confirm whether it was from the injuries to the neck and chest, or to a mysterious wound that could not be identified. officials said that they believed the culprit to be the infamous night stalker and encouraged anyone with tips to their identity to call the anonymous line made available.
a leak from a trusted source revealed tomo katsumura, the rising star, to be a step-child of the vitelli family. our network on channel 6 has agreed not to release the identity of the source, but press have been requesting for an interview wit hthe star all morning ... [queue a video of reporters swarming the actor] ...
in other news, west coast mining company have halted their excavation for the las vegas science & natural history museum once again, following a reported cave-in of one of the main entrances to the mines ... that's all for now, more developing soon.
THE YOUNG GUN AND THE TRAILBLAZER failed to follow up on the anonymous tip they had received, resorting to a little skeevy in-and-out of THE TORMENTED SOUL'S home that yielded clues to THE FACELESS PHANTOM'S visitations to the consigliere. THE TRAILBLAZER began to believe it to be a clue pointing toward iris hawkins as the identity behind the night stalker.

as a result of the pandemonium, álvaro reyes, kael kang, and cyrek fawn were severely injured, forcing the cactus cats to halt their business functions for the time being as crucial members. fallon jiva has played the role of standing leader while many are down.
jaehui yeon became the temporary captain to the neon drifters, until an applicant applies for the role. however, his leadership role did not come without strings... he must answer to the bidding of an anonymous blackmailer.
the death of felix martyn has sparked a war between the vitelli family and the neon drifters. connections between these rankings will likely be feuding or violent at this time.
tomo's apartment, 2nd september 1996 / @alessandroxvitelli
Tomo hadn't exactly been expecting company. Sure, he was a social butterfly at the best of times and he was certainly willing to run with unexpected turns when they were thrown his way (for better or for worse) but he was still pretty surprised when Alessandro showed up at his door. He was vaguely aware of the whole situation, with regards to his step-brother being urged to stay home, and he'd been quick to guess that had been the thing to bring him here. And he could relate. Stick Tomo in one place for even a second too long and he'll start bouncing off the walls. He'll make stir-crazy look calm.
He was sat on the couch, slumped back into the cushions. This wasn't really all that exciting either. So much for being a good host. But, again, he hadn't been prepared for this and, besides, it seemed like Alessandro was entertaining himself just fine— he seemed pretty happy to just rake through Tomo's stuff. (Tomo didn't live alone but, eh, if he gets yelled at for this later... he'll cross that bridge when it's relevant.) "Damn, dude, you must really be bored," Tomo laughed. "House arrest's really doing a numver on ya, huh?" (Calling it house arrest was, of course, an exaggeration but what was Tomo known for if not a flair for the dramatic? He was an actor! What would you expect!?)

on the morning on september the 10th, the news reporters broke the discovery of the missing captain -- found deceased and wedged into the trunk of his own vehicle. the horrific murder was discovered by alleged friend of the family neon drifter racer jaehui yeon. unbeknownst to the public, jaehui yeon was also given something from the body's person by the coroner -- personal belongings had also included a cryptic note: 'ready to dance, puppet?? do exactly as we say and your secret won't come out to the rest of your friends...'
some are in mourning, others are dancing in the streets -- the speculation among the drifters believe it to be a head hunter for the vitelli family, posing as the night stalker. the first match sparked on the back of paranoia, and four days later, a vitelli soldier was discovered in a bloodied pulp after being dragged across several blocks by an unmarked car, and war was declared between the neon drifters and the vitelli family.
for now, jaehui yeon has taken over as a stand-in for the captain position.

jaehui yeon's discovery in the dice rolls will open up random events for other factions, as there will be a domino effect from any of 'the big four', but we'll be throwing random dice rolls at a few clean citizens as well, like we have been, to open up storyboard events where faction actions could affect or sway them.

on the morning of the report on channel 6 news, THE TRAILBLAZER AND THE YOUNG GUN (ALICE PALLAS AND MCKAYLA HOLCOMB) showed up to work to find unlabeled white envelopes on their desks. inside, there were photographs through the windows of a basement, depicting AZAZEL HAWTHORN slumped over a table in a chair, pallid and with two puncture wounds in his neck. there are other photographs, taken from the night of the poker game memoriam, that depict of his sickly condition in the same hotel room that THE TRAILBLAZER was knocked out in. there is writing on the back of one photograph:
"HERE IS SOMEONE WHO HAS ANSWERS..." they are on the case!
