Bonnaroots and Sustainable Eating: In partnership with renowned grassroots organizations Oxfam America and Eat for Equity, Bonnaroo launches Bonnaroots Community Dinners for the first time this 2014. Yes, Bonnaroo is hosting farm-to-table dinners under the Tennessee stars with locally-sourced, four-course communal dinners. The atmosphere will be enhanced by surprise mystery guest appearances and 100% of the proceeds will go to Oxfam America and Eat for Equity. The Southern heritage meals feature local and organic foods with each course coming from within 100 miles, if not from the Bonnaroo Victory Garden just steps away.Dinners accommodate 100-people per seating and will take place throughout the weekend in Planet Roo, an eco and social-activism village dedicated to promoting a socially responsible lifestyle. Highly popular, Bonnaroots sold out within days of its announcement, but sustainable-minded fans can still check out the Bonnaroo Learning Garden in Planet Roo to learn about sustainable eating and how to grow their own garden, as well as The Solar Café, a mobile cafe using solar panels as its energy source, found within the festival grounds.
