Lots of news about the former residents of the Feline Leukemia Adoption Center, topped by Ms. Bonshell and Mr. Dexter finding their forever home--together!

Dexter, recently returned for being “too affectionate,” and Bonshell have spent several weeks at Felvieville in APA’s Tarrytown Adoption Center. And while a few years past their own kittenhoods, they benefitted from Saturday’s big kitten adoption event. 

Their new humans, unsuccessful in their search for an appropriate kitten or two, were directed to Felvieville, where today they were chosen by Bonshell and Dexter--two of the most lovable and adorable cats anyone could meet.

Heartfelt congratulations to these most deserving felines. Have a wonderful, peaceful, comfortable life together!

Another busy period in the Feline Leukemia Adoption Center; today we bid farewell to favorites Ms. Bonshell and Mr. Dexter, who went to the Austin Pets Alive! facility at Tarrytown.

Hopefully, the change in scenery will change their luck, and they’ll find their forever humans...hopefully together!

New Adoption Center arrival Dr. Julius Strangepork isn’t feeling well. 

He’s severely anemic, very lethargic, and not interested in eating. But he still responds to kindness, seems to enjoy being petted, and purrs ever so softly.

This loving five-year old guy is in rough shape, and may only have a few days left. Perhaps to provide him some comfort, several of the residents gathered around him this afternoon and lay down with him for awhile.

Mr. Dexter reigns above while Ms. Sterling, Ms. Bonshell, and Ms. Jenna get cozy with one another.

An overdue update on goings-on at the Feline Leukemia Adoption Center (and beyond).

New arrival Ms. Jenna is in her private quarters getting over a severe upper respiratory infection. Estimated to be one year old, she’s the size of a kitten, and doesn’t know how to turn her purr motor off! Tiny, restless, and active, she’s a charming perpetual motion machine.

The wily Mr. Fuzzy has been relocated to Felvieville, the new FeLV+ enclosure at  Austin Pets Alive’s Tarrytown location. He’s even more friendly and loving as he awaits his forever home. His temporary digs in the upscale Austin neighborhood has an enclosed ceiling to discourage further escape attempts.

Meanwhile, his former housemates back at downscale Town Lake continue to seek creative outlets for their energies; Ms. Bonshell and Mr. Ferdinand Finch are particularly fond of the Mop Game. Though once they’ve caught their damp and grimy prey, neither is entirely sure of what to do with it.
