Malbonte is a conflicted character who can either be kind to you or mean depending on your choices in the story. There are two variants that interfere: your relationship with him and your affinity with his ideas.
Interesting fact:
While being held in captivity, Mal followed the fate of his parents who were sent to the Earth. Just for a few minutes per year, he could break through the endless veil of darkness and spy on their lives. Just for a few minutes... until their death.
For an immortal, distant from everything ephemeral, fleeting, familiar only with the carefree and at the same time exhausting infinity of being, it is hard to watch his parents leave this world. He couldn’t understand what he was feeling: confusion, horror or envy — after all, their torment had come to an end, and his torment had no end in sight.
