Orsem route summary time!

With this all routes of sins of Kaleido are now summarized on my blog🎉

Again this is from my memory and may not include every detail.

Common route summary

Don't look below if you don't want spoilers!

Yolca vaguely remembers all four previous routes and she gets the hell out of there to go home. Away from Vy-xen, convinced that she will only bring them misery. Orsem follows her while grumbling to someone unseen.

He goes down on his knees to ask her to make him miserable next. No harm done if she harms someone she dislikes, yeah? He also only cares about how he can use her too. A perfect match!

So Orsem is now helping Yolca in the legal fight to be officially acknowledged as a Yulewood. We now get to see why this route is called Eternal Carnage!

Pretty much whenever Orsem hits a setback on this mission (Yolca getting disfigued by an acid attack, rude interviewers, him killing a judge loyal to Yulewood and Yolca finding out), time is turned back with Yolca mostly not remembering anything.

Every time Orsem avoids the problem afterwards, continuing his bloody path towards the perfect ending.

The good thing is that Yolca and Orsem are actually starting to bond for once. Yolca is really good at manipulating the public eye to her advantage and Orsem finds it "not disagreeable". It's also funny how shocked he is when Yolca turns on her charm for him. Though at this point she doesn't notice how effective it is yet.

One night Yolca is strangled by Orsem, but the next day nothing is off about her neck and he acts like usual too.

The Crimson Night comes again at the evening where Yolca was supposed to hold a press conference. Heath is nervously protecting Yolca but he parks her at a shelter when he get's a call that Tilkett is in danger. Well, the shelter is full of paniced people who literally trample Yolca almost to death.

We see a shocked Ish (the one from Even If Tempest) comment about her sorry state and asking Yolca when she will finally find happiness. Orsem comes over, complains about Ish interefering and is amused about Yolca's state aka the best "live bait" for danger.

Ish scolds Orsem for his methods to reveal danger and that he will hit his limit soon like that. Orsem raises his gun to his head and says that his friends are just pawns now and he doesn't care about protecting the one he loves anymore either. He hit his limit long ago. It's the nature of the Fatal Rewind.

Yolca, barely concious, watches as Orsem shoots himself to rewind time again. After getting through the Crimson Night without issue this time Yolca asks Orsem why he strangled her that one night. He smiles saying that he must be confusing dreams with reality and tries to kill himself again.

This time Yolca stops him and takes his gun from him, running to her room. There Ish leads her into the Kaleidotower via the painting.

Orsem looks for another gun to kill himself with, but is interrupted by Ish telling him that Yolca is in the Kaleidotower. Apparantly Orsem has to kill himself close to Yolca to Fatal Rewind and the Kaleidotower counts as too far away. Hunting time for Orsem now it seems.

Yolca is warned to run by the Warden and Ambrose and so she does in search for something that could help her overpower Orsem. She goes on a floor of illusions where she needs to decide if the people she meets are fakes or real.

A Heath from another worldline appears and saves Yolca from the real Orsem. Only in the Kaleidotower do parallel worlds cross and make it possible to run into people from other worlds, though Ambrose should've made it impossible to actually meet.

Orsem doesn't want to make things complicated by attacking this Heath. Before leaving Heath gives Yolca a magical key that will protect her. Once he is gone Orsem turns his gun on himself again and says that Yolca should just stay ignorant and away from his business and only focus on becoming a Yulewood again.

A fake Tilkett shouts "big bro" which shocks Orsem, but before he can pull the trigger again, he is locked inside a... restraining device summoned by the magical key. Ish laughs that Orsem lost against Yolca since as long as she has that key anyone who harms her or Orsem in reach will be restrained.

So he can't use Fatal Rewind at will anymore. Yolca releases him and Orsem feels humiliated.

The Warden tells Yolca that 600 years ago the recources of the world dried up and that her family made the very first convenant with a witch for the Re:Command Core to keep society running. The price is half the lifespan of the entire Yulewood bloodline, including Yolca.

This is why she is so weirdly sickly and why all Yulewoods by blood die early. Ish asks of Yolca can imagine herself in 5 years. Orsem doesn't want Yolca to hear more of this and brings her back into her room.

Yolca is taking this very badly, thinking that she was basically born to be a sacrifies for the greater good and how her parents could have groomed her into focusing more on philantropy than caring about herself.

She ends up throwing up and Orsem is taking care of her with a practised hand, like he has been in this situation before. He tells her that he can make her forget all this if she gives him the magical key. She can return to being happy and ignorant if she let's him rewind.

Yolca is processing her despair and Orsem keeps trying to find the key. His reaction to her saying it is in her bra was priceless. My guy just fled the scene! Yolca decides to be a bad, selfish girl from now on but is very much sabotaged by Vy-xen not giving her alkohol etc.

Before she gets too reckless Orsem pulls her aside to offer her "tempting ruin" at his side or salvation by giving him the key and allowing him to rewind. It's less an offer or threat and more him desperately begging her. He can't stand her knowing about all this and suffering.

This distracts Yolca from her own bad situation and focuses more on Orsem instead. She realizes that he has clearly died for her sake many times before.

Yolca starts to poke him about the fake Tilkett calling Orsem "big bro" and they actually are half-brothers! But Tilkett's memory of Orsem was completely overwritten by Morphia so he doesn't remember them being siblings. This pains Yolca, she wants them to be brothers again.

Yolca asks more about the worldlines and apparantly there are six in all. She also asks him if they ever got together considering his offer of "tempting ruin". This shocks Orsem and he tries to play it off by making fun of her and assuring her that "He never called her his and that he had never wished for that either". Yeah right lol

Yolca grumbles about Orsem's "not disagreeable" comnents and Eugene tells her that's Orsem's highest compliment. She remembers every instance of him saying that to her, making her conclude for sure that Orsem must love her (along with all the other stuff he is saying tsundere-ly).

A massive amount of Grimnals come to Skyless and make trouble, so Yolca has to play coordinator for Vy-xen. Turns out these Grimnals have come for the Witch's Referendum. It a vote at the end of the month where witches and Grimnals vote on whether witches turn all humans into Grimnals or completely part from humans. We have finally reached this point after killing 1% of all witches.

Turns out witches made contracts with humans to save them from ruin. They thought making humans more distinct from each other with powers would help when the Re:Command Core stops helping and recources dry up again. After killing 1% of the witches they have to acknowledge humans as having enough power to have an opinion on this matter too.

Vy-xen discuss what they would vote for (Orsem wants the witches to go away) but Eugene doesn't want either outcome. Turns out abstaining is also an option and if too many Grimnals abstain by leaving the country then the vote won't happen.

Eugene disappears and collects criminal Grimnals to make them abstain and since his Gift makes him weirdly lucky no one can stop him.

One day Tilkett uses to much blood and passes out without waking. Orsem begs Yolca again to be able to rewind. Yolca wants to give Tilkett the chance to recover and learn from this instead. Orsem gives Tilkett a blood transfusion all resigned and Yolca asks Orsem to protect their here and now. To notice her being at his side wanting to support him instead of resetting over every setback alone.

Orsem hesitates to reach out to her so Yolca jumps into his arms instead. He talks about his fear to lose the present, all these moments with her, to a rewind. Orsem makes her promise to follow his instructions while clinging to her.

Orsem gives Yolca the mission to collect Kanoa's worldlines necklace. Seems like we can actually directly jump into other worldlines via the Kaleidotower! Kanoa's Yolca had stopped time for everyone but herself which caused a lot of trouble for Orsem who also got stuck (and had to be saved by Ish).

He tells Yolca to not investigate and to just collect the necklace. If she enters the worldline facing forward then her conciousness with temorarely overwrite Kanoa's Yolca. Orsem insists on her doing it that way. Entering backwards would cause two Yolca's wandering the world, not necessarily a bad thing but Orsem is testing if she will actually listen to him.

Yolca is confused why another version of her would stop time, but still enters facing forward. She does let time flow a little, long enough for Kanoa to be happy that Yolca changed her mind and for him to get best up a little by the military. Yolca stops time again and brings the necklace to Orsem which now glows green.

Orsem shows her the three other necklaces from the other three worldlines and explains that four hold the power to change the world. At the vote they can get rid of all the witches with these. Though even one necklace gives power of time at the right place.

Now feeling better about working together Orsem goes through all their goals they want to achieve and is very frustrated when Yolca doesn't have a single wish for herself. She really wants Orsem and Tilkett to be brothers again though.

Yolca grabs Orsem's tie and kisses him, saying that he better not pretend it never happened. After gathering himself he makes fun of such a forgettable kiss and they make out.

Three days until the vote and Orsem has a terrible time. Someone keeps attacking Vy-xen in always different ways. One time Orsem has to crawl barely alive to Yolca so he can kill himself in her presence for a rewind.

Seems like the condition "that he can only rewind when Yolca is present" comes with the perk(?) of not being able to die unless she's there. Though watching him not being able to pull the trigger anymore, Yolca decides to mercy kill him as much as she hates it.

Orsem turns back time to right after making out with her. He can't find a path to survive until the vote alone and needs help. They tell Heath and Kanoa about the Fatal Rewind and Heath thinks getting Eugene back could pave a way to survive.

Orsem also tells them that the one behind these attacks is probably Dalen Yulewood who wants everyone to become Grimnals, however he never could find a way to reach him.

To get Eugene back Orsem asks Yolca to ask Eugene's girlfriend for advice. Yolca reacts in horror when she finds out it's another version of herself lol So Yolca travels to Eugene's route to talk to the grieving Yolca. She's resistant to helping at first but the current Yolca talks sense into her.

She says that Eugene is probably acting like this out of a misguided sense of kindness. She cries crystal tears and gives them to Yolca to give to Eugene. Heath takes these tears to a perplexed Eugene who gifts them to Heath. Seems like Eugene wanted the vote to not take place for Heaths sake so he wasn't in danger of turning back into a doll.

Orsem tells Eugene about the necklaces which makes him rejoin Vy-xen since with them it must be possible to keep Heath as a human. With Eugene there is a lot less death and destruction around! Tilkett finally wakes up too!

Orsem is still running himself ragged though which leads to cute scenes of Yolca spoiling him by feeding him or being used as a body pillow while petting his head. Peak content, thank you!

It's the day of the vote! But of course it's not as easy as just voting. The Witch's Referendum is held on the highest floor in the Kaleidotower that was never open before and we have plenty of people who sabotage Vy-xen's way.

Tilkett and Heath stay behind when Morphia attacks them with brainwashed children, Kanoa stays behind to fight his dumbass siblings who want everyone to become Grimnals and Eugene stays behind so Orsem and Yolca can have a romantic boatride lol

Yolca is pulled into a magical trap room where Dalen is waiting for her. He says that he and her are the only Yulewoods left and that he killed everyone else. The less Yulewoods there are the less fuel there is for the Re:Command Core.

Depriving the world of Re:Command Cores and making everyone Grimnals is his form of revenge against humanity who profited off the Yulewoods sacrifies. He tried to shoot Yolca but Orsem breaks into the room thanks to the living god charm Tilkett gave him and helps her.

They get out of there and finally meet up with Ambrose, Ish and the Warden. They say the rest of Vy-xen is doing fine, but the voting is starting soon. They go over the plan: once they are in the voting room Yolca uses the four necklaces to expell all witches from all their worldlines permanently. This would also save quite a few other worldlines. Seems like only Yolca can use the necklaces to change the world.

Yolca makes Orsem promise to go on a date together after this (he's being vague...) and Ish makes fun of her for having her mind elsewhere. Though this seems to have struck a chord with Ish since he intentionally runs into Orsem holding the box of necklaces making one fall out. Yolca picks it up and returns it.

On the top floor lots of butterfly witches are casting their votes and Orsem gives Yolca the box of necklaces. She expells the witches with them and the necklaces are mostly used up now. Yay(?).

However, Orsem now tells the Warden to unify all worldlines into one, since doing so would replenish the resources of the remaining world. This apparantly would also give Yolca her full lifespan back. Yolca is not happy though, she wanted to save all worldlines and not erase them. Not only that, Orsem wants the remaining world to be the Tilkett x Yolca one, so everything she and Orsem would vanish.

Orsem says that he can't make her happy and that he doesn't deserve to. So Tilkett should do so instead. This is the perfect happy ending be has been striving for.

We go back to the moment when Yolca was holding one of the nacklaces before they enter the top floor. Yolca saw the future and she does not want Orsem's idea of her happy ending. So instead she negotiates with the witches to vote to leave humanity alone by threatening them with the necklaces. She argues that the witches didn't give humanity a chance to grow and overcome the coming challenges on their own. The witches may stay as observers but nothing else.

Yolca get's through to them and she now plans to restore the resources of all worldlines using the necklaces. Orsem is very unhappy since this won't restore Yolca's lifespan already taken by the Re:Command Cores. He feels like all his hard work to give Yolca a happy, long life was rejected. Welp, he'll have to deal with it, because Yolca refuses to let go of him.

Now we finally unlocked the happy endings! They are pretty short and are pretty much just Orsem doing overtime lol

Kanoa:

Yolca is confused to see Kanoa not in her lap anymore but standing and smiling while dealing with the militaries violence. She can't take his smile anymore and lets time flow again. Orsem intefenes before Kanoa is taken by the military and asks that they wait until November 1st, a few days. On October 31th the Witch Referendrum happens and all Grimnals turn back into Humans. Kanoa is now powerless and useless for the military, yay!

Tilkett:

Before Tilkett can go to the church's hospital Orsem gives him a kick to the head and knocks him out until October 31th passes so Tilkett can't misuse his powers for the sake of freaking Morphia. Tilkett takes time to travel on motorcycle with Yolca and decides to get his doctors license by studying for it normally. He sadly doesn't seem interested in looking for his real family. Orsem get's no wins here man.

Heath: Heath get's turned into a human again by Ambrose who is rejoining the circle of reincarnation. He calls Ambrose his father for the first time and Yolca plans to make the Kaleidotower a gallery for the public again together.

Eugene:

Orsem rewinds to the day Yolca was attacked and caught the assassin from the church with Vy-xen's help. October 31th passes and everyone loses their powers. Yolca cutely demands to be entertained by Eugene and he can finally cry normal tears of happiness.

Orsem:

We get a flashback of Orsem telling Eugene an interesting tale of his original worldline that was completely doomed. There Vy-xen wasn't a thing yet and he implies he gathered them for the sake of a "witch" that belongs to their world. It's heavily implied that the witch is Yolca. Orsem says that she couldn't be saved in that worldline and her last wish was for Orsem to save the world, starting his journey.

Back then Eugene completely messed everything up afterwards which is one of the reasons why Orsem is not a fan of letting others know about his circumstances.

Back to the present Orsem went on vacation alone after having been beaten at the vote. Once 22 days pass Yolca finds him to bring him back since he used up all his vacation days now lol Orsem doesn't want to be rewarded for all the terrible things he did, but Yolca goes "alls well that ends well." and demands to spend their life together.

Orsem laughs, they conclude that they are both annoying people and they make out. She brought Tilkett with her too who is still awkward with Orsem, knowing about being brothers now, but it seems like Orsem can't from him anymore.
