(sorry i keep asking stuff!) today i used wella koleston in the ratio 50% 0/81 (silver) +25% 0/11 (grey) +25% 10/8 (ash blonde colour) +10 vol peroxide. my hair was pretty white before. now it's greyish with a lot of green tint... i don't understand because i only used a small amount of the 0/11. will it eventually fade to a silver if i just keep shampooing with purple shampoo? also what would the result be if i used only the 0/81? can you give me some advice please? xD
Strange! The only thing I can think is that ash blondes are green based, so perhaps on white it was too much, or with the other colours didnt mix well.
Purple shampoo wont help, purple counteracts yellow tones. You need a red toner! You can use a tiny weeny incy bit of red dye in conditioner, or a hair dresser one told me you can use ketchup too! Not the most savory plan but apparently works!
Use a clarifying shampoo too, it'll help strip the dye out and you should be left with a faded but silver colour.
You could use all 0/81 and be left with a light silver. Don't quote me, but I am pretty sure there is no green in the 0/81
Hope this helps? I have only used koleston the once, and I did get a green tint, but it faded beautifully over time. I'll get a pic up and tag you to show how it faded.
