can u drop saz headcanons... i am thinking about them...... So often..

Katie! How’d you know I’ve been dealing with a full-fic-delaying headache and looking for a way to get ideas out regardless? I’m actually gonna include this as my WIP post (#6) for the last week since it’s brainstorming, so I’m tagging the lovely @clonesupport​, @thomrainer​, @sstewyhosseini​, and @natesofrellis​, who tagged me for that!

It’s made the rounds, so if you see this and want to, please post a WIP of yours and tag me! I’d love to see it!

Have some details of three of my favorite Saz headcanons: 

1. Sam, Naz, Elena, and Nate love karaoke, and they love going out for karaoke as a family. Here are five songs I think Saz would totally nail, despite the fact that they’re nowhere near the vocal ranges of Prince or Mariah Carey:

“Ballroom Blitz” by Sweet (Nate would want to join in on this one)

“The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis & the News

“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears

“Only Wanna Be with You” by Hootie & the Blowfish (they’re not even fans, but Naz would insist)

“You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon

Also, this is NOT relevant, but Sam and Nate doing “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles),” anyone?

2. Sam loves hitting up thrift shops, and sometimes he and Naz need to have... talks about certain thrifted clothes he wears when they go out. The Tumblr page shiftythrifting has some great examples of the shirts and hats he’d buy. 

3. A few years into their relationship, Sam proposes to Naz at Daerim Warehouse in Seongsu-dong in Seoul. (They’d be there to visit some of the city’s temples and palaces.) The two would be enjoying some afternoon coffee together, and the proposal would be quite spontaneous (and possibly when Naz would be mid-sip) — see below for a rough outline of that conversation!

Sam: [fingers drumming on his cup] ... You wanna get married?

Naz: [pauses a few seconds, then responds jokingly as she sets her drink down] Why, are you bored?

Sam: [matching her frivolous tone] Yeah, I think the relationship’s gone stale.

Naz: Mm, I’m inclined to agree.

Sam: An engagement could add some pizzazz, you know?

Naz: Oh, sure. Liven up the place.

Sam: And Bruce, you know, that poor dog...

Naz: Yeah, it’s good for him to know his parents are staying together.

Sam: [pauses, though for less time than Naz did earlier; then he speaks, trying to hold back a genuine grin] ... So what do you say? Can I get you to co-sign on this?

Naz: [sucking her lips in before revealing a smile] Yes.

Sam: [with a small laugh] Yeah?

Naz: [nodding quickly] Yeah.

Cut to Sam calling Nate that night and trying not to shout the good news. (Naz urges him to hurry since they have dinner plans, but once Sam’s asleep, guess who’s stepping outside to shout the good news to her friends?)
