#book blessing

I know a book blessing or consecration is often listed on many grimoire idea lists, but what specific things do people use for a blessing, in the front matter of their witchy journals and personal spellbooks? Like how do people word theirs?

I'm trying to decide what I want to include as an epigraph for my grimoire. You'd think, being a writer myself, that this would be the easy part for me. But I have so many different ideas it's hard to narrow down the specific words. I'd love to hear from anyone who is comfortable sharing!

Book Blessing

Here is the book blessing that i did during the stream incase anyone couldn't read it. 

Bless this book that I have prepared to be my companion as I travel the path of the green witch.

May I be inspired as I write in it.

May the information herein serve to support me in my spiritual development.

May truths reveal themselves to me as i review my writings.

May this grimoire  support me in my work to become the best person I can be, and in being the steward of nature.

May this grimoire and my practice with it serve God in the best of ways.

May both this book and I be blessed.

I changed certain aspects to fit my craft i.e. the God part so feel free to edit it in a way that suits your practice. Hope to see you soon in the next stream!.

This book be it mine, it harbours no fears The knowledge obtained through blood, sweat, and tears My magick's my passion, the spirits my guide This book may She bless it with spiritual light And may only Her children read of its rite. To those who walk the hidden road To find the hearthstone's calm abode. Guardians from the for directions Hear me and lend thy protection May these truths of the Earth and Skies Be shielded from darker times. But to the Witches whose map this be May the path be plain to see And through all the coming ages May we find a home within these pages. Bless this book that it may enhance All who choose to read its pages Bless this book as my relationship With You may continue to grow. I pray to You that You will grace me With Your love and Your blessing. Lend me your strength and stability To practice with love and set me free.
