“You can choose faith or you can choose fear. But only one will bring what you long for.”
― Leigh Bardugo, The Lives of Saints
growing up reading fantasy books was probably what made my childhood a little less shit. i can't remember much my brain has blocked out a lot of trauma and difficult times but what i can remember is reading in bed for hours in my own little fantasy world
“Feminism can be a friend to science. It not only improves how science is done by pushing researchers to include the female perspective, but science in turn can also show us that we’re not as different as we seem. Research to date suggests that humans survived, thrived and spread across the globe through the efforts of everyone equally sharing the same work and responsibilities. For most of our history, we lived hand in hand. And our biology reflects this.”
Invisible Women, Caroline Criado Pérez
she's cute! ♥️🌈
i'm interested... which standalone books do you wish had sequels?
as a kid having reading as your thing and it being so fun and rewarding but then growing up and feeling painful feelings of nostalgia and neglect as you realize you haven’t picked up a book in years and don’t feel like you could because its no longer a thing you do... that shit hurts
