Making A Comeback!!
Hello and I'm sure you've all forgotten about this account but I'm hoping to start this account back up and get it up and running again! Booklr Positivity Week, Day Two! Booklr's Influence.
How has booklr influenced me?
At first I thought, “Well, it hasn’t,” but that can’t be true can it? After three years of being an oblivious observer and detached participator, surely something positive has come out of all of this.
Obviously, Booklr has introduced me to a number of books that I have enjoyed immensely. None of which I’ll name here, because we’ll be here for quite some time. So, thanks Booklr! Thank you for helping me expand the genre’s that I read.
I also feel like I have learnt more about myself especially in the last year, and that is definitely a direct result of the Booklr community.
Thanks Booklr, hopefully you can only go uphill from here!
booklr positivity week! -- day 2
wow i didn’t fail the second day! this must be some kind of personal record. like yesterday, i’ll be making a list because why not. although today the list is about the ways booklr has influenced me
i guess this has happened to most of us but i. read. so. much. more. i think i read about five times more books than before booklr
i also think i've found more interesting books. booklr keeps me updated of all the interesting new releases and i've actually found all of my favourite books through booklr
but... not all of the effects can be positive. i'd never actually experienced reading slumps before booklr. i guess reading a lot has its downsides as well
i spend more money on books. it's not necessarily a bad thing cause i still don't spend extreme amounts. i use library a lot too. i just buy the books that are most important for me and every once in a while i treat myself with a new release
and last but not least i've found a lovely community to share my passion with! i don't talk to many of you a lot but you're always still there to share my thoughts about books and movie adaptations and ships etc. y'all are great and i'm always happy to chat!
Booklr Positivity Week, Day One: Introduce Yourselves!
Booklr Positivity Week was made by the wonderful @books-and-cookies and @thebookishdragon because they are brilliant!
One, the name is Lauren and only Lauren, I’m 19 (as of three days ago, send help!) and I’m Australian!
Two, I hated reading as a kid because I didn’t know that reading for enjoyment was a thing that existed.
Three, I didn’t read Harry Potter until I was 14 and I’m still not 100% sold on them but will that stop me from owning four copies of the books? No.
Four, My books will either empty your tear ducts or are fantasy. Usually it’s both.
Five, I’ve ran out of space to put all of my books. From here on out it’s going to be a nightmare.
Six, I like to think I’m a writer despite never having finished anything I’ve ever started.
Seven, My fave standalones are The Night Circus, and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. (10/10 recommend)
Eight, My favourite series is The Raven Cycle. Shoutouts to The Inheritance Cycle and Vampire Academy.
Nine, I’ve been overseas twice! Europe and New Zealand! (Take me back to Paris please and thank you)
One Week of Selfies Day Five I love that, despite despite all the bad stuff that's happened to me (and my family), I still manage to find things to smile (or smirk) about every day :) @booklrselfies @booklrpositivity
