Let's talk about MONSTERS! (Like, you mean that biochem exam I just took? I think that qualifies as a monster.😶) This Savage Song is BUILT on monsters, and I love how it deals with the questions of - why are monsters monstrous? what makes you a monster? can you NOT look like a monster and still be one? can you look like a monster and NOT be one? I love these kinds of ambiguous monsters. For example, in Ukrainian culture (and in many other Slavic cultures) we have a witch called Baba Yaga, who lives in the forest in a hut that stands on chicken feet. She may or may not eat children. If you are a gallant knight on a quest that comes to her for help, she might give you crucial information - or she might turn you into a rat. You never know. Is she good? Is she evil?
