Update:
Sorry I haven’t posted another book in a long time, but I’ve been busy with school and studying for the ACT. Though I can’t speak for my co-admin @blvesriley I think he’s been pretty busy too. Because we can’t be online to update the network as much as we would like, we’re looking for more co-admins! I made an application which you can fill out here if you think you would like to be an admin. You don’t have to be part of the network to apply, but after we choose a co-admin, we will open the member applications and choose new members.
Also, if you are part of the network already and haven’t been added to the private chat blog, please send me an ask and I’ll add you.
Sorry this is so late, but I’ve been caught up in school work and haven’t had much time for tumblr. I know it’s been more than two weeks, but I’ve been busy with school and such, so I was only able to log on now to end Words in the Dust. Feel free to post you discussions about the book on the private chat. If you were not added to the private chat for some reason, please send me an ask with your email and I’ll add you.
I hope you enjoyed The Perks of Being a Wallflower! Thanks for your response! Just in case you haven’t seen it, we started a private blog were we are moving the discussions about the books. If you didn’t get an invite, just message me your email and I’ll make sure to add you.
In terms of our next book, we’ll be reading Words in the Dust by Trent Reedy. I haven’t read it, but I think it’s going to be good.
Here’s what good reads has to say:
Genre: Young adult/Children’s novel (realistic or historical fiction) Depending on who you ask... Ratings: 4.03 stars Published on: January 2011
Here is a overview, or blurb, of the book:
In the tradition of SHABANU, DAUGHTER OF THE WIND and THE BREADWINNER, a beautiful debut about a daughter of Afghanistan discovering new friends and opportunities after the defeat of the Taliban. Zulaikha hopes. She hopes for peace, now that the Taliban have been driven from Afghanistan; a good relationship with her hard stepmother; and one day even to go to school, or to have her cleft palate fixed. Zulaikha knows all will be provided for her--"Inshallah," God willing. Then she meets Meena, who offers to teach her the Afghan poetry she taught her late mother. And the Americans come to her village, promising not just new opportunities and dangers, but surgery to fix her face. These changes could mean a whole new life for Zulaikha--but can she dare to hope they'll come true?

I hope you enjoyed Ms. Peregrines! There wasn’t much response, but I know its a bit hard to keep up with this network since you don’t get notifications from it. No one has replied to my previous post, which further supports this theory, so I’m going to open a private blog so more people know what’s going on with the network.
In terms of our next book, it’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I haven’t read it or seen the movie, but I heard its a really great book. I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Here is a overview, or blurb, of the book:
And while he's not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it. Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mix tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. But he can't stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.

I’m finally back from the summer! (you can see the specifics on my personal blog) Sorry for not posting any books since Ms. Peregrines, but blvesriley the new co admin is on a semi hiatus because of uni so... but I’m back now and can post the next book, witch I will do ASAP, I promise, but first...
I’ve been talking with blvesriley about making a separate private network for the chat, where we could post our thoughts on the books and even promos or other stuff. This network would still be open for the applications and I would still post the new books here, with a smaller secondary post on the private network linking back to this network as a reminder.
What do you guys think?
Hiatus Message
I haven’t been on much lately because of tests, but I have my last one of monday :) Its spanish, which I am good at so it won’t be that hard...
Now I know that most people go on hiatus’s during the school year, but I go on hiatus in the summer... every summer, it’s not my choice... I go away to my family’s house in the countryside and there is no wi-fi there, so I can’t be on tumblr as much as I would like to. I leave on monday after my test and come back in September. Its a long time to be without wi-fi, but I’ll cope. There is wi-fi at the library and at the day camp my little sister goes to.
During the Hiatus I will:
Try to set up my queue to run about two post per day (its running 10 posts per day now), but there is no guarantee, it will most likely run out more often than not.
I’ll try to respond to asks on a weekly basis, but there’s not guarantee. If it’s taking me a long time to respond to you, don’t take it personally.
See you in September! :)
