𝔎𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔒𝔣 𝔖𝔠𝔞𝔯𝔰 - 𝕃𝕖𝕚𝕘𝕙 𝔹𝕒𝕣𝕕𝕦𝕘𝕠 ———————————————————————— “Hope was the wind that came from nowhere to fill your sails and carry you home.“ "Everyone mourns the first blossom. Who will weep for the rest that fall?” “We pretend the pain isn’t there, that we are made of scars instead of wounds.” “If we don’t dream, who will?” “He was the forever soldier, eternally at war, unable to ever lay down his arms and heal.” ———————————————————————— Speechless. I saw that ending coming and yet I was still shocked. It was heartaching to dive back into the Gishaverse because of the unhealed scar from Crooked Kingdom and then the ending from Ruin and Rising. I hadn’t realized how much it would hurt to read these characters again. Especially Nina who was suffering the loss of Matthias, and who had me tearing up at every chapter. Nikolai finally gets to be the main character of his own book and I had forgotten how much I loved him in the Shadow and Bone series. Can we all just have a moment of silence for Matthias Helvar. •”He wasn’t a good man, but he had a good heart. A great, strong heart that should have kept beating for years and years.“ The writing. adsjkbchbf I love the way Leigh Bardugo writes. Her sentences give me the chills and some are so good I have to reread them to properly appreciate it. The intricate way she makes everything tie together at the end never fails to amaze me. I should’ve learned my lesson after SOC but even in KOS, as I slowly pieced together everything it shocked me. I have to mention that I’m really biased in my review because of my utter love for the characters alone. Every time Kaz Brekker was mentioned, or either of the Crows, I smiled so big. Though I loved this book and this new universe that has characters from each one of her other books, I have to say that SOC still holds the title of my favorite book by her. •”But some secrets aren’t meant to stay buried, and some wounds aren’t meant to heal.”
Hello!
I have decided to create a book review blog here on Tumblr. I am still relatively new to the whole book reviewing world...so bear with me. :) If you have any tips for me related to becoming better at reviewing books, I'd be more than happy to hear them. :D
You are more than welcome to look through my blog. I might re-blog book-related posts on this blog from time to time and possibly the occasional writing-related posts but I'll focus more on book reviews. These book reviews will be of my own opinion and I understand that my opinion of a book might not be the same as yours. I respect your opinions of any book I review as I hope you respect mine. :)
I really hope you enjoy looking through my blog! :D
You guys are awesome!
