Okay? Fruits of the Zee? Definitely my favourite festival. By like, a lot.
Would you like to sail on down to a haunted island village to solve the curse of their barren seas by helping to throw a festival in worship of an undead drowned king and his eldritch bride?
Would you like to work hours on the shore taking part in strange and eerie rituals to build up enough favour from the eldritch sea gods to enable you to venture out beneath the waves?
Would you like to spend several days diving eerie shipwrecks beneath haunted waters by the light of an eldritch underwater candle in search of treasures?
Would you like to visit a vast eldritch spiny star urchin in the abyssal reaches beneath the island?
Would you like to come back to shore a week later and blow all your treasures in a nautical-themed shopping spree?
Would you like to seek audience with a drowned king and listen to him speak of his true and gentle love for his titanic, monstrous bride?
Would you like to offer him strange corals won from lightless depths and have him offer you strange items in response?
Would you like to peruse the curious markets and sellers that gather for eldritch sea festivals on haunted islands?
Would you like visit a drowned shipwright and buy yourself a spooky haunted ship from him?
Would you like to discover your destiny in the company of drowned men during a warped feast at the bottom of the sea?
Like. I love nautical horror. I love cosmic/eldritch horror. I love folk horror. And this festival is the absolute best bits of all three, and you get really cool stuff out of it, and you get it by prying it from the depths with your own two hands and a spooky candle gifted to you by the envoy of a drowned god, and it’s perfect. It’s perfect.
Also the Pirate-Poet, my beloved, shows up, and that just puts the perfect cap on it, you know?
Best. Festival. Ever. No notes. Will love it forever.
