𝐐𝐎𝐓𝐃- what tips and tricks for bookstagram you follow and works for you? I was thinking about this question and surprisingly I don't have definite tips or tricks that works for me. I still can't figure out best time to post or if my pics are good enough or those hashtags are working right or not. #bookstagramtips . . 1.Instagram has a few character limits - username character limit is 30. bio character limit is 150  post caption character limit is 2,200 hashtag limit is 30 2. If you go over the limit of caption characters or hashtags the entire caption will be deleted upon posting and you'll have to start again, I started writing up my captions in Word checking that I was within the character limits and had 30 or under hashtags then emailing that to myself before posting. 3. if your caption is really long you can post the hashtags in the comment section 4. tag creators, artists, authors and publishers wherever possible. Not just in the caption but in the image itself 5. keep the images book related, same for the captions, especially while establishing your profile and image, you can talk about your personal life but try to link that somehow to the post and books 6. take LOTS of photos, play around with where the best lighting is, what type of photos you like taking, different props (which don't need to be fancy or expensive, just take a wander around your home and you'll find stuff), backgrounds, angles, editing, experiment and see what you like best, but also what creates engagement 7. on the note of engagement, make sure you're liking others posts, commenting, replying to comments, in your caption pose a question or something to encourage engagement as all of that helps bump you up in Instagrams algorithm and will help your account grow 8. don't focus on how many followers you have or how many likes each post gets, work at building a friendly community rather than an unengaged empire, make friends and have fun 9. if you're new and stumped for photos ideas try participating in a photo challenge, there are a lot of monthly ones you can easily find by asking around or reading captions 10. experiment with hashtags, look them up and see which ones have content you actually like and use those, make sure you're using ones that represent the picture too (so don't use a #throneofglasshashtag if it's a #themortalinstruments picture) https://www.instagram.com/p/B33Cm5-AHLw/?igshid=k8v5kg5kw593
