I think one of the most underrated TVD pairings is Book Stelena. They are so freaking epic, and they hardly get any attention. Delena fans are too immersed with the idea of the bad boy of the series getting the main girl, and even a lot of Stelena fans are too invested in Show Stelena that they don't truly see the epicness that is the book version of their ship. I did ship Stelena on the show in 1st season, but even then, they didn't really give Book Stelena justice. Book Stelena is so intense and beautiful. Reading some of their scenes literally gives me CHILLS. Stefan and Elena challenge each other, and bring out the ultimate best in each other. Bamon will always come first in my eyes for both books and show, but honestly, I love Book Stelena (along with Sterefine on the show) to bits as well. For me, Stelena is, and always will be the TRUE love story of the books.
