Wow! Looking at this photo sort of makes me sad. Almost a year ago, I was in Houston and went to a Barnes and Noble to sign some books. Little did any of us know that only weeks later the world would tip upside down This picture makes me think of how grateful I should have been in that moment. To be able to travel and hang out with family and friends. Eat in a restaurant and share a meal feels like a gift now. I think about that time and vow to always be grateful for the little things. A hug. A smile. The chance to talk face-to-face with readers. When we get on the other side of this I know things will have changed, but I hope readers will find their way back to the stores and to author events when it’s safe.
