💭 as a bookworm i find this conversation so true. and also although i never solely base my buying on the cover, it is definitely an 80% of the factors. you can say a cover doesn’t define a book but shouldn’t it?? making the effort of creating a nice and beautiful cover that at the same time matches the mood of the book and makes you want to buy it is very important, yet a lot of publishers don’t seem to care at all, they only usually care about the books they know will sell well because of the authors or because they’re mainstream at the moment, but what about the rest of wonderful books that people will never care to read because they weren’t cared for?
