Might be an unpopular take (pun intended) but I don’t think that the two new songs in the movie fit where they’re placed…for opposite reasons.

I still like them individually but how they’re placed in the movie is wack, yo.

No Place Like Home fits smoothly into the plot, but it has no point- the actions are swiftly undone by a Leo ex machina and it just utterly feels like a waste of time as a result- it felt like an ass pull to keep Elphaba alone and right back where she started, which does fits the narrative but it makes me feel like that whole animal rousing song could’ve been axed for just a call to action- which sucks because it does feel like it’s placed in a good spot (it doesn’t interrupt any musical numbers, instead being in an added scene that helps develop Elphaba’s character while explaining where the heck a lot of animals went during the events of act 2)

Meanwhile, The Girl In The Bubble is the exact opposite- I really feel like Glinda needed that song to further her character development and it’s not undone at the last second to give a lion a line, so it does have a massive point to it- but why in the name of Sam Hill did they smush it in the middle of the March of the Witch Hunters? Like the first part of the best song of the musical is interrupted by a Olaf's Frozen Adventure-like commercial for an Oscar nomination request. For your consideration, an almost 4 minute interlude in the middle of a 2 minute long song is way too much.

Today is my dog Brunson‘s last day in the world. Many of you probably saw the Jackbox Games Instagram story of him snuggling M Bubz. Seeing all the joy to that and seeing the joy he had with living with us truly makes me happy beyond measure.

Needless to say, a lot of my projects will be put on hold for right now. I’m not sure when I’ll be back, it’ll probably be within the week but given the rough week I’ve had between my sister’s health scare and this I’ll need some time to recover.

Scheduled posts will be posted on my side blogs as normal, however.

Rest in peace, Brunson. You were an amazing dog.

Let me be clear:

I am celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death. I think he was an asshole and a mean person who had no empathy like all of trumps lackies. I have no sympathy for him.

I am NOT happy or okay with the way it happened.

There is a difference. You can sing ding dong the witch is dead AND say that political assassinations are fucking horrible and shouldn’t become the norm in this country.

It’s not about him having a family when other gun victims had families or whatever, it’s about him fucking dying to a brutal gunshot to the neck, and it’s about how that’s basically our way of making points and statements seen now, on both sides of the spectrum. Like wtf?!?

Okay, I did the math on Magia Exedra's pity system

Based on a previous post I reblogged, let's say you're trying to get Mami Tomoe and are having horrendous luck. How many gems would it take to get a pity draw?

The pity system means you have to spend 200 medals, with one earned per failed draw.

Let's assume that you are ultizing the 10-draw method every time at 3,000 gems per 10-draw.

200 chances to draw Mami / 10 draws per set= 20 sets of 10 draws.

20 sets of draws x 3000 gems (per 10-draw) = 60,000 gems.

SIXTY THOUSAND

FIFTEEN THOUSAND GEMS COST 60 BUCKS AND THATS THE HIGHEST YOU CAN GO

THE PITY SYSTEM IS BROKEN

From what I can gather, the showrunner behind You and Idol Precure, Kon Chiaki, is a HUGE pretty cure fan! She's worked on and off with Toei over the years, and even made a full fledged pretty cure opening for her own original anime, The Way Of The Househusband, in the form of Crimecatch Policure!

Given the IdolPre trailer implies some return to form (with the mascot designs and art style giving off more heartcatch/early season vibes), I'm super excited for Kon in fufilling her dreams and I feel like this season has a lot of promise! Maybe a return to form is needed after the divisiveness of wonderful, but either way, I KNOW the series is in good hands!
