Most in the Undercity rarely end up presenting. Food is scarce, after all, and without proper norishment rare is the individual able to present secondary characteristics.

Everyone may as well be Betas, with the rare Alphas presenting in usually death defying situations.

But Omegas, connected to the Arcane in ways few can ever understand, cannot thrive without the proper conditions. Most live the full extent of their short lives without any hints to their true nature except as innerly examined by some enterprising "doctor".

So, when Jinx, his precious wonder girl, his chaotic genius, starts showing Signs, Silco does not initially connect to the possible idea of her being an Omega, till the truth is plain and unavoidable.

Of course, he, who rose from drowning in the early fury of a newly presented Alpha, will take good care of her. Who else?
