Boosting 101
The 5 Basic Rules of any Boosting Job
1. Gather as much information as you can. Find out:
Number of bathrooms
Flow rates for showers
Property occupancy
Are there teenagers in the house?
Number of storeys
Location of plant room for storing boosting equipment
Size of the hot water cylinder
2. Remember, you cannot run a booster pump off the mains without a break tank. For mains boosting sets, follow this link.
3. Check your dimensions. Measure the plant room and access points such as doorways. Then, double check the dimensions of the boosting equipment from widest point to tallest point.
4. Check your lead times. A number of Pump Source products for boosting (break tanks, booster pumps, mains boosting sets) are in stock and available on next-working-day delivery (all marked with the Pump Source ‘next working day’ logo) but you must order before 2pm.
5. Quote your customer a package rate for equipment plus your installation fees.
