Ok so, these look a bit shit at the moment, but essentially...
I made a pair of booties (remember them?) mocked up a pattern for the leather (not pictured) and made a test with some pleather I still had laying around. Some adjustments need to be made but the general pattern works, which is good.
So... I’ll order some 1mm veg tanned leather in a few months, and form it to shape, and sew it together. By then I will also have added the boot portion. This will be hand stitching with leather. Punching holes before actually sewing. I have also learnt a lot from the belt and will treat the leather before sewing it together. It needs to be quite supple.
That said, the pattern looks quite close to the references I have, so I’m decently pleased!
