Sys, I've been thinking of legitimately moving to Iowa because all of my family is dead or moved away from where I am (or disowned me for being gay. I have a buddy that lives close to the quad city are too, so that's cool, but how is Iowa on LGBT junk? I know it's a swing state, but like actual people and junk I don't know.

Well, there’s some buttheads around, but we WERE one of the first states to legalize gay marriage (th e 6th, to be exxact) before california.
Honestly Iowa is more progressive than people think. I know plenty of gay people who are married or dating and no one give a shit. Fuck. I signed the documents as witness when my buds ron and ryl got hitched.
There are a few assholles but as a whole we don’t give a shit who you love in Iowa so long as the corn harvest comes in on time.
It’s no a bad place to live, honestly.
