Have to say, one of the Parts I miss the most from working on a Sailing Boat is working with Ropes, Splicing especially. Has me constantly tempted to just buy a Roll of Hemp Rope (which I will do, once my Income is steady enough) and make Things with it. ....no Idea what Things though...
Sitting in my rocking Chair and splicing Strops by dimmed Light while listening to Moby Dick – would recommend, very atmospherical!

In an unexpected Turn of Events at Work yesterday me and my Colleagues conversed about Erebus, Terror and Arctic Exploration, which was a nice Change.
What’s better than being on the Water, Waves splashing your Legs when they wash over the Gunwale, Seafoam and Rain spraying your Face, while the Wind tears on every Point of you it can grasp.
