Boracay Pubcrawl
Boracay: almost is never enough
Boracay: almost is never enough
“There is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shore line, no matter how many times it is sent away.” And like the ocean, I refuse to stop hoping that one day you will come and kiss me…kiss me like the first time you hit this broken soul. For the longest time I have built walls around my heart because I couldn’t bear the pain of getting left behind, of being…

Party for charity!
The world, of course, didn’t end on December 21st. Manila was as busy as ever. And while elsewhere people were trying to beat each other to the taxi stops, a group of people sat waiting giddily at Greenbelt 2 and A-Venue in Makati for Manila’s most happening activity—Manila PubCrawl!
Now bar-hopping has never been this fun, but what made that PubCrawl extra special was that part of the proceeds were donated to the Philippine Red Cross for the benefits of the victims of typhoon Pablo in Mindanao! PubCrawl founder Oliver Koehllner was all over the airwaves the previous week inviting people to attend (you might have even caught him on Home Radio 97.9 and Magic 89.9!).
And boy did these people heed the call to party for charity! When the clock struck 8:30 two jampacked airconditioned jeepneys rolled out of Makati to head to our first stop—The Distillery at the Fort.
Joining PubCrawl entitles you to discounts with our partner bars, so everyone was having a great time getting to know each other over their first drinks for the night. By the time we hopped to the neighboring Imperial Ice Bar, not even the frigid temperatures could keep our newfound friends from being warm and chummy!
Then we headed to the swanky OPUS in Resorts World Manila, where everyone began showing their dance moves! The party continued all the way back to Makati, in The Balcony. Half of the fun, in fact, always happened inside the jeepneys! They are mobile clubs unto themselves!
When we reached our last stop, Time, nobody wanted the night to end!
Thousands of miles away, a PubCrawl was also happening in Boracay! Boracay and Manila PubCrawls are the same--except that, on the beach, of course, you just hop from bar to bar on foot, and you can wear flip-flops and shorts! Proceeds from the Boracay PubCrawl was also donated to charity.
It was, for many of us, one of the best nights of the year. It wasn’t always everyday that you got to party for a cause. And so as the night winded down, everyone was reluctant to remove their yellow PubCrawl shirts. If anyone was sure of anything that night, however, it was that it was definitely going to happen again. The world, in fact, has just began :)
