We Won! MBA Excellence in Alterations and Additions
“We are absolutely thrilled to announce we have been honoured with the MBA “Excellence in Alterations and Additions” for our regional event last week. It really is a fantastic feeling to be recognised for our work. I want to thank all who have supported us throughout the years; our team, subbies, clients, the community, MBA and of course my wonderful wife Jess! Couldn’t have done it without you. We’re looking forward to another fantastic year of exciting projects and business growth... Stay tuned.”

434 David street Central Albury
Alterations and Additions.
The extension was a delight once complete. This hand-crafted project was made and constructed on site and came with some difficulty with the hustle and bustle of central Albury. We were fortunate enough to have rear lane access which was also shared with a doctor’s car parking with enough room for an emergency ambulance.
This made concrete and concrete pumping, and deliveries very hard as the doctor’s needed car accessibility. (Plenty of calming conversations.) We were able to work around and accommodate the clients as they lived on site in the existing premises.
The first hurdle of the project was to fill in old mechanics dug in a workshop located in the backyard. From there, site works and excavation started for the waffle pod slab. Hydronic floor heating underneath a polished concrete slab. We also had to cut through external double red brick walls to renovate the old bathroom and try to match old with new. We had 2.7 metre high double-glazed windows installed to our built-on-site timber wall frames.
The exposed 140mm x 45mm timber trusses where pre-cut on site and erected by crane. The ceiling was square set into exposed rafters with cornice in the garage. Bricks used were local recycled red bricks. The fibreglass drop in pool was edged with sandstone capping pavers. Surrounded by frameless pool fencing. The outdoor kitchen was an absolute entertainers delight!
