The Menace of Helios
It’s happy hour in Moxxxi’s, and it is busy. The booths are full of civilians, chatting and drinking. People are singing karaoke to varying degrees of wellness. The Crimson Raiders are all seated at the bar, swapping stories with visitors from off-ship.
“And then Mordy totally blasted their skulls apart with his sniper rifle!” Tina says excitedly, “and then-and then Brick came running in like a truck and ran them all down! And then I blew up the entire building! It was awesome.”
“It was super awesome,” Brick agrees.
“It was alright,” Mordecai shrugs.
“That was some story, Tina,” Moxxi comments.
“Yes, very...descriptive,” Tannis agrees.
“Skies!” Tina exclaims, clutching her arm. “You should tell a story next, from your bodyguard days!”
“Ah, heh, um,” Skies stammers awkwardly, “I’m not sure this is the right crowd for those stories.”
“I wanna hear one of those stories!” Ava insists.
“Yes, me too,” Amara agrees.
“Yeah, we all know you worked for Jack,” Moze adds, “it’s not a big deal.”
“Well...” Skies mutters and glances at Brick and Mordecai, who glare at her with obvious disdain. “To some it is.” “Oh, don’t pay any mind to those two,” Moxxi says reassuringly. “Go ahead, tell a story.”
“Mmm, well, alright,” she shrugs. “I guess I got one I can tell.”
“Let’s call it...The Menace of Helios.”

One of Jack’s favourite pastimes was wandering Helios. He loved making his presence known and spooking all the workers. He’d go into offices and through bullpens. He never wanted anyone feeling too comfortable. And I often had to follow him.
Sometimes Jack would be peaceful. The worst he might do is make a rude comment on someone’s appearance. Sometimes he’d be far more hostile. He’d go around looking for a fight; for any reason to strangle someone or send them out an airlock. But most of the time he was somewhere in between.
