I've read a lot of talk from people (mostly on forums) talking about the muzzle flip on Sigs due to the high bore axis. However, when I fired a p226 in 9x19mm I was pleasantly surprised at the very low recoil/muzzle flip; I suspect it's due to the heavy slide. Have you had the same experience, and do you think that the experience of others I read about is due to my suspicion of having "bitch hands?"
I hear that shit constantly, usually from people that have never fired a SIG & are just going by hearsay.
My P226 & P320 are among my softest shooting 9mms, along with not having a noticeable amount more muzzle rise compared to most of my other 9mm handguns. Hell, my P320 shoots nearly as flat as my P-09 and just as soft. Myself, and most guys that I’ve had shoot mine, can very easily keep them on target, even under rapid strings of fire.
To me, the whole “bore axis” thing is blown way out of proportion. Sure, it does alter how the gun handles recoil, but not anywhere near as much as caliber, recoil springs, grip ergos & the shooter’s own grip on the pistol.
